We would highly recommend a trip out with Colin in his argo! He is such a lovely, friendly guy and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Following a recommendation from where we were staying we contacted him in advance of our trip via his Facebook page and then finalised the day once we were in the area. We met him in Lochcarron and had an interesting and informative drive out to the hill. We then got on the argo for a trip up the hill. The argo is great fun and seemed capable of going over anything, even if we weren't so sure!! But Colin made sure we felt completely safe and were always enjoying ourselves! We got to meet his lovely Jacob sheep and lambs and the deer of course. These were so close and we even got to feed some by hand. Don't hesitate to book a tour with Colin, it is a trip you will never forget!

While arranging a tour around the West Highlands entirely by public transport for my wife & me, I found that I was unable to hire a car during our stay in Strathcarron because we are both too old! John came to the rescue, and we had a lovely 7-hour day to the Inverewe Gardens and back via various interesting places en route.
John is pleasant and knowledgeable company, has his suggestions but is willing to adapt, and is a safe and modest driver.
We only had 2 whole days in Strathcarron, and we were lucky that John was available on one of them, because getting cross-country in that area by bus is impossible.
I recommend John to anyone who wants a tailored tour of this fantastic area.

Such a beautiful view from this and it has such history. Tourists should be mindful of the locals and be polite when parking to not block the road. When using the single lane road to reach this castle, also be polite when someone pulls over to let you go by, you need to wave to them out of courtesy.

I picked up one of the Vicky's leaflets in Loch Carron and booked a session with her for me and my husband. I am so glad we did. We spent an hour and a half with Vicky who was so helpful and so obviously talented. Between us we made a clay elephant, a paper clip pot and a candle stick holder. Vicky is going to fire and glaze our artwork and send it to us in the next couple of weeks and I can't wait - our holiday memories will last so much longer because we have physical objects to remind us.
