Littleton Area Historical Museum

This museum presents the history of the area through donated memorabilia that represents the people, industry and life of Littleton. There is little signage, you mostly wander from area to area. However the docents and the curator will regale you with stories about any area you are in and if you want you can spend hours there. A highlight is the section on Bette Davis’ connection to Littleton, but beyond that there is everything from a recreated old time barber shop to farm equipment to turn of the century period clothing to World War 1 artifacts to old children’s toys. There are sections devoted to area businesses that achieved national or international reputations. There are also one of a kind artifacts not found anywhere else.

We live in NH & have visited this place a few times but recently discovered their salsa. I used to buy Margarita’s salsa which was sold at Hannaford, but it has disappeared from the store shelves . So for months I have been trying every salsa I have come across , trying to find something which suited my taste. Hallelujah! I have finally found the best salsa! White Mountains Canning Tomato Jalapeño Salsa is fantastic. I love the chunks of tomatoes, and the spices are just right. It has just enough kick to satisfy me, but not too much where the fussy people in the house won’t eat it . We also bought a few other items from the store , and all were a hit I plan on another visit soon to stock up.

Stopped in for dinner as this store has a very large selection of ready to eat foods. It is more than just a supermarket, they have a nice wine section and a huge beer selection. Everything was spotless clean and the staff were super friendly. We got a couple of salads, a rotisserie chicken, and a nice bottle of wine for less than $30. We would recommend.
