Wigwam Golf Resort

Considered one of the country's premier golf resorts, this complex offers three championship courses (Blue, Gold and Red), two of which were designed by renowned architect, Robert Trent Jones.

My family and I chose to stay at the historical wigwam over a long weekend while we attended a wedding (not at the Wigwam. We arrived and were immediately welcomed and directed to concierge and front desk. All staff were very friendly and professional. Ya gals hung out by the HEATED pool and were served drinks and snacks poolside while the boys went golfing at one of the resorts courses. The rooms are VERY spacious and clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Bathrooms are large and nicely updated. The grounds are very well kept and picture perfect. We saw a wedding going on in a private garden area while we were there- it looked very beautiful and like a great place to tie the know. We enjoyed dinner at a couple of the restaurants there and breakfast in the cafe. My husband also received a massage and a haircut in the salon while we were there. All a good experience for us!

Beautiful ride with amazing guides! The route took about 1 hour, they helped teach a few of the basic riding skills to help make the ride comfortable. The horses were all rescues and very sweet and social- I highly recommend visiting then for a ride!

The Westgate Entertainment District includes numerous restaurant, a number of shops and the Phoenix Coyotes Stadium. There always seems to be something happening. We saw a Navy jazz band, a hot rod exhibition and a rock band. The landscaping is very pretty and the people watching is great. This is a nice place to spend time.

Great heart pumping adrenaline rush as a driver in car by yourself. Only complaint I have is the ear pieces. Should use ear buds in the canal you can put in before putting helmet on. Instead of foam pads you have to jam up inside somehow on a very snug helmet. Both of us had to come back in to readjust so could hear instructions. Still great afternoon with good classroom prep.

Went here for a volleyball tournament my daughter was playing in. None of the concessions were open but it is a easy stadium to get to with good parking and access to near by shopping, food and Gil’s river arena. Was very cool for my daughter to get to play on stadium, might have to go back for a nfl game.

The admission seemed a little expensive and then all the rides any attractions cost an additional $6 per person. Lots of animals to see though. Worth going at least once and good for kids of all ages.

Giraffe enclosure was the hi-lite for sure. Make sure to bring change for food. I think it took quarters.

Goodyear Ballpark

Goodyear Ballpark is the Spring Training and player development home of the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds.

This place makes me embarrassed to be a Reds fan! At the ticket office on Sat. (3/17) afternoon, the printer that prints the tickets and receipts wasn't working. Then come the crusty retirees, working as volunteers are certainly not impressive representatives of the team. Then we get to the concession stands, where they might be manned by service groups or employees that could not care less. The lines from about the 2nd inning until games end are always way too long. BUT!! the most ridiculous thing that happened to us over 3 days was not one day did the concession stand have Cincinnati Chili Cheese Coneys (Skylines) becuase they didn't have buns. I am not kidding! it was as if no one knew where to buy buns. AND! for 2 days, they left the item on the menu board, infuriating customers that had waited for 2 or 3 innings on account of the unqaulified help - only to discover they were out of the queen city headline item. A few years ago, they offered a lo-end valu beer (PBR) at all the stand; but, that seems to have been just too fan friendly as they've dropped cheaper beers. Even the landscaping is half *ss ! this place has been open for a decade and as you walk up they have a dirt rock area greeting fans. The Reds - and likelt the Indians, who share this pit, and city of goodyear rely on fans from legit parks like the giants and cubs to come to Goodyear where you can always get a ticket.

To be labeled as one of the state of the art movie theaters in Arizona, not to mention the country this place looks like a dump. Parking lot dirty landscaping sub-par, some palm trees cut open some not what’s the deal??? I can understand the first month or so to work out the bugs but it’s been well over 6 months now and I can’t tell if the building is open or closed. The sign looks like it belongs to a drive thru restaurant, not even digital or showing what’s playing. I think the bar is overrated only a few seats. The recliner chars inside the theaters are always broken, a few was broken on opening night from what I read. The food is the same old high price typical movie theater food. No thanks!!! Save your money stay at home and wait for the movies to be released on DVD until the Manager gets his or her act together.

Traveling the NHL arenas, shocked to see such a 1980's MTV music video quality Jumbotron here. Crowd was incredibly enthusiastic and loud for the few that were there; pretty sure section 121 is the "moms get away..." ya. Value score is HUGE here, can't beat AZ prices other than maybe Islanders, Hurricanes, and Panthers. I think Tucson (AHL's) dinky little convention center is nicer and that's pathetic. Only thing making up for low quality experience the Yotes put on was the BMW Lounge; being able to see either team enter and exit the ice is phenomenal. Try to get tickets in the rows that allow access to it; all you can eat and drink till the start of the 3rd. Overall it's ok, compared to other NHL arenas.. lol.
