The Serra da Arrábida Natural Park, amidst the deep blue sea and the green of the hills, is a breath-taking place. Situated by the sea, the park offers some of the most stunning coastal scenery in the Lisbon area. The highest point is in the Serra do Risco, a magnificent cliff 380m high. A good way of getting to know this pristine place, featuring pure Mediterranean vegetation, is this private tour.  Like a wall of green sticking out over the Atlantic, the hills offer shelter to small coves of white sand where, despite being on the edge of the ocean, the sea is almost free of waves.

The cork factory was surprisingly interesting and the town of Évora was adorable. The Chapel of Bones is extra (only 5€, but worth it) and you’re on your own for lunch. We picked Tragos E Condutos and had a fabulous meal (get the black pork!). To top it all off, the winery was equally awesome and included a tour of the winery’s carriage museum. It may sound boring, but (again) it was surprisingly cool. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and best of all, our tour ended up being private because no one else signed up. Definitely recommend!

As I was spending a day solo in Lisbon, I wanted to take advantage of a private tour through Lisbon to learn more about the city while improving on my skills as an amateur photographer. I did an early morning tour with Miguel who is a great guide. We started our trip at one of the viewpoints to catch the first morning light and I learned about the advantage of using a tripod to get sharper shots, and then leisurely strolled through the old city. He knew all the nice spots to take a photo and I even got a really really cool photo from the famous yellow tram no. 28 :) But not only did he show me the nice places to take a picture of, he also told me a lot about how to use my camera settings better, about light, angles, aperture and shutter speed. After explaining, he made me try out the different settings and angles to actually experience the difference myself ... In short, he shared so much of his knowledge it was amazing. And all very understandable for me as an amateur. Also, and this was a really special experience: I saw an old lady at a window in one of the small alleyways. And I thought: Oh, what a wonderful photo that would be. And Miguel said: Go, ask her. I felt too shy but he insisted and finally I went to ask her. She was lovely, was happy to be photographed, told us that she was a bit famous because people always see her at her window and told us some more funny stories about her life. And I got the wonderful photo I so much wanted :))) I can fully recommend this tour to anyone who is keen to experience the city through his/her lens and to learn from someone who really knows what he's talking about and is super friendly. If solo or as a group, I believe you'll have a really good time with Miguel as your guide.

We really recommend Antonio to everyone. He is a lovely man who is not only kind and respectfull but he’s very funny aswell. He knows what he’s talking about and he tells his stories with a lot of passion, which is a big bonus when you want a tour. You can tell that he has a lot of love for his city and country. He takes good care of it and tries to remember others to also take care of the place (f.e. asking someone to not throw a cigarette on the road, etc.) We were with 6 of us so it’s great that he has different cars because we were a big group. He taught us a lot about his hometown, Cascais, the history behind certain places and Sintra. He gave us tips and tricks that we took with us throughout the day. What we also loved is that he was on time to pick us up and he was thoughtful and kind and he brought some water and fruit with him. We had a 4-hour tour where we saw different places, the mountains, the sea. All in all, a day to remember. We all thank you for spending the day with us.

This photo tour was designed by a professional photographer that has a deep knowledge about Lisbon. It also happens that Miguel was born in Lisbon, lives in Lisbon and likes Lisbon a lot. You can expect a full and very rewarding experience. We will explore the areas as old time friends, looking for good and sometimes unexpected moments. We will chat about the local culture, about the local history and about photography. We will discuss f-stops, between a view description or looking at a map. This also allows Miguel to follow your preferred subjects or to optimise the use of your photo equipment. Actually, this photo tour should be for everybody, because everybody has a camera! Think about it. It doesn't matter if you have a DSLR or a mobile phone, because the fun will be the same.

Miguel is not only a great guy but an accomplished photographer and did everything to help me ( a professional photographer) shortcut to the absolute best and most picturesque places I needed to be. My needs as a professional were a little more specific than most I think, and Miguel was able to adapt the tour to exactly what I was looking for. He was tireless and completely bilingual and able to turn on a dime when my needs changed. Plus he knew all the best cafes and restaurants of the locals so we avoided the tourist traps. It was an honor to work with him and I look forward to seeing him on my next trip to Lisbon, which I hope will be soon!

What a great winter morning on the Atlantic Ocean! A crystal clear sky and blue water like it‘s photoshopped. We absolutely enjoyed being in the pure nature, the great team with good insights about the animals living in or on the water - and of course the beautiful dolphin family we spotted. A childhood dream became true!

I would highly recommend Miguel to both beginner photographers and to more advanced. I am a more advanced photographer and really enjoyed that there was still a learning opportunity (Miguel has a very graphic style which is not my norm, so it was quite interesting.) Also, we spent the entire time outside and in masks, and I felt very safe, even during these stranger times. Miguel knows Lisbon well, and not only chats with many of the locals while walking, but can tell stories and the history of the city. I would highly recommend him!
