Sugar Sand Park features the Community Center, which houses the Children's Science Explorium and the Willow Theatre; and the Field House, which features an indoor gymnasium. Developed by the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District and operated by the City of Boca Raton, this 132-acre park continues its commitment to enhance the role of recreation and culture for residents and visitors alike. Unfortunately up close visits to this lighthouse are only conducted at best on a monthly basis (it's posted on their website) because it's located on privately held property. On those days you are conveyed by boat over to the lighthouse.

The small museum/gift shop is free & has some informative displays & unique gifts.

Take in the free view any day, any time and when your schedule matches with their scheduled tour(s), consider boating over.

Limited metered parking.

Look for the "Barefoot Mailman".

It’s nice to take a stroll on their boardwalk. Their are a few nicely places restaurants where you can stop and have a drink or enjoy a meal. Off the boardwalk but on the beach there are a few volleyball nets where you can join in on a game. Bring a chair and enjoy the waves and scenery. It’s very relaxing. Enjoy

Pompano Municipal Pier

Often overlooked as being one of the BEST BEACHES in SE Florida. The City of Pompano Beach has completely updated the beaches with a beautiful walkway and tropical landscaping. There is plentiful parking (new covered parking garage). The beach offers: Volleyball Nets, bicycle rental, picnic & BBQs for grilling, picnic tables and covered pavilions all along the beach area, lifeguards, Splash Park for the kids, cabana and umbrella rental, and a beach grill offering beer, soda, homemade sandwiches, salads, pizza and hot dogs and only outdoor dining.

This beach is kept clean, and the sand is raked every day. The sand area is very spacious enough for large crowds; however, you will never see large crowds here because it's a well-kept secret as to how special this beach is. Currently in the works is a brand new BEACH-HOUSE, which will be offering a couple of restaurants, fast food, as well as nice dining (Italian), right on the beach which includes outdoor dining overlooking the beautiful ocean. There is large pier (currently closed until 2019 for repairs). Bring your own bait enjoy the fishing - and soon..The Yellow Water Taxi is coming to Pompano Beach.

Wiki: Pompano Beach is currently in the middle of a redevelopment process to revitalize its beachfront and historic downtown. The city has also been listed as one of the top real estate markets, being featured in CNN, Money and the Wall Street Journal as one of the country's top vacation home markets. Pompano Beach Airpark, located within the city, is the home of the Goodyear Blimp Spirit of Innovation.

This beach has a lot to offer and frequently hosts many events during the year including Seafood Festival, Music Under the Stars. Great place for a wedding on the beach as well. Don't pass this place up if you are in the area. This place needs to be marketed for the great value it has to people who really enjoy the outdoors and the ocean.

We can never pass by a fishing pier without making quick stop and we did that today at Deerfield Beach it only costs $1 so it was definitely worth it. You can get a wristband and come back over and over again on the same day. It did sustaine
some damage at the end from last year's hurricane but most of it is it accessible and offers great views of the shoreline.
