Although it is not the main church of Luik, this one is at least as pretty, but probably prettier than the St paul. Especially the roof is amazing. A very good place to enjoy piece and quietness.

A really nice series of easy to ride old railway tracks in the picturesque Ardennes. These take you through the historic villages such as Stavelot and Francorchamps and of course right above the amazing Spa Grand Prix Circuit. Well worth taking your bike for an explore along these old routes. Spa town is great, do visit the 'thermes' at the top of the hill in Spa, a great way to relax.

This was the cherry on top of the cake! I was already so delighted with the whole city. But when on a lovely warm afternoon I decided to go to the Bovarie and was literally flabbergasted! The green areas along the river are just so enchanting. The Museum building is magnificent so is the cafe of the museum. The views are incredible. What an unforgettable afternoon.

La Vallee de la Hoegne

Reviewed By GodfreyG233 - Belgium, null

I went there with my family and a friend, ie 3 adults, a 2-year old and a dog. The path is not made for strollers or toddlers who are not sure-footed. In fact, for most (almost all) of the way, the toddler was on the sling. We walked for a bit more than 9km and the trail was very well marked. It had a few options for those who wanted to take a longer route. I think ours, while the shortest route, was about 60%-70% of the full route and it took us around 3 hours. One particular nice thing that I liked was that on the way back, part of the walk was not in the valley, but right above it and this allowed for quite the view. Trail was very clean and it was quite crowded at times. We kept the dog on leash in fact. Beginners can handle the hike as well... I managed and I am the opposite of a fit person and was carrying 12kg bundle of joy on my back.

In the heart of the Spa forest and on the edge of the Fagne de Malchamps, the Domaine of Bérinzenne offers spaces freely accessible to the public: panoramic tower, park with pond and picnic areas. The Museum of Forest and Water “P.Noé” presents the natural environments of the region thanks to an innovative scenography. (Closed on Mondays) A starting point for many walks, the Maison de la Nature has a shop, a cafeteria and a multipurpose room for conferences and temporary exhibitions. (Closed on weekends and public holidays)

This nature area borders the ‘Fagne de Malchamps’ nature area. We wanted hiking and did the yellow trail, which is 5km. This is well indicated and took us more than an hour; we did not go into the tower. For me the area was a surprise. I always associated the Ardennes region with hills. Seeing the plains was magnificent and reminded me of watching the endless Serengeti.
