Legnano [leɲˈɲaːno] (Lombard: Legnàn) is an Italian town and comune with 60,282 inhabitants in the north-westernmost part of the Metropolitan City of Milan, about 20 kilometres (12 mi) from central Milan. It is crossed by the River Olona, and it is the 13th town for inhabitants in Lombardy.

Fratelli Cozzi Museum stemmed from the passion of Pietro Cozzi for Alfa Romeo cars, after he decided to collect one sample of each model produced by "Casa del Biscione". Beginning with 1950s' designs, it was decided to identify the quintessential models, special series, top-performance engines, and more than 50 exhibits were assembled, including some that are unique worldwide. Nor does the museum lack for original documents, books, drawings, films, signs, trophies, photographs, and objects that, as much as the cars, bear witness to the history of Fratelli Cozzi's strong and enduring partnership with Alfa Romeo. The collection is constantly updated with new models and is an important legacy for 20th-century history of Italian cars, as well as playing a key role in understanding the industrial growth of this outstanding brand, born in Milan in 1910. Pietro Cozzi's passion, handed down over time to his children Roberto and Elisabetta, blossomed into a desire to make the collection accessible to the world of Italian and foreign car enthusiasts, not just Alfisti, and this led to the creation of the Museo Fratelli Cozzi_Alfa Romeo. Modernity and style! The museum is quite big and interesting (even for someone who is not into cars or Alfa Romeo's).
We went through it quite "rapidly" and it took us 1.5 hours. There's a coffee shop, different floors and the lights + sound made the difference. There's also a 4D cinema open for all guests! Super fun.
I recommend it!

Enjoyed this lovely park, with lots of trees for shade, a pond with ducks, geese and turtles. There are lots of paths for running/walking and some par course spots along the way. There are areas for children on bikes or skating; off leash dog areas and a food place, although it wasn't open today. Nice time, and used by locals, but nothing unique or special to draw tourists.

This is the Cathedral of the city of Legnano famous for the "Battaglia di Legnano" and "Palio di Legnano".
The highlight is a series of wall frescos of 16th century North Italian painter Bernardino Luini and his less famous contemporary Bernardino Lanino.
The visit of this church is a must for anyone interested in 16th century architecture and figurative art..

Un simbolo purtroppo frainteso da molti, per l'uso politico che se ne è fatto. Si tratta invece di una scultura del Butti, che invece riguarda e ricorda una vicenda storica ben precisa legata al territorio: la battaglia di Legnano del 1176, che vide i comuni lombardi, guidati dal qui rappresentato Alberto d Giussano, sconfiggere le truppe imperiali di Federico Barbarossa. Non confondiamo la storia vera con altro.

Nonostante la nevicata, grande affluenza di pubblico alla mostra nel Castello Visconteo di Legnano.
Organizzata dal CIF, si è celebrata la giornata internazionale della donna con una mostra dedicata ad uno speciale annullo filatelico, oltre ad opere pittoriche, fotografie e locandine cinematografiche.
Encomiabile iniziativa.

Ci siamo recati a visitare questo piccolo ma interessante museo al cui interno sono conservate le raccolte proveniente dalle ricerche effettuate dall’ingegnere Guido Sutermeister in quarant’anni di attività tra il 1925 e il 1964 nell’area cittadina. Reperti recuperati duranti scavi e demolizioni durante la costruzione di nuovi edifici. Sono presenti inoltre anche opere pittoriche fra cui, di notevole interesse , il trittico di Gaetano Previati riferito alla battaglia di Legnano e le tele di Previati che raffigurano i momenti importanti della Battaglia. L’edifico nel quale il museo ha sede fu eretto nel primo trentennio del 1900 rifacendosi alla struttura ottocentesca della famiglia locale dei Lampugnani ed utilizzandone alcune parti originali sopravvissute alla demolizione. Il museo possiede solo cinque sale ma ritengo debba essere considerata una delle tappe da fare se si è in visita a Legnano.

Si tratta del primo edificio importante che abbiamo incontrato dopo aver parcheggiato la vettura. E’ allocato nella piazza principale, ovvero Piazza San Magno dove si trova l'omonima basilica ; è chiamato Palazzo Malinverni, dal nome del suo architetto.
Si tratta di una struttura costruita ad inizio '900 seguendo stili molto diversi tra loro: quello medievale, il liberty e il neorinascimentale.
Il palazzo è decorato su un lato con gli stemmi delle città appartenenti alla Lega Lombarda, ai capoluoghi italiani e anche quelli di Zara, Pola e Fiume, città che un tempo facevano parte del nostro Paese. Merita una sosta anche per ammirarlo solo esternamente

Posto piccolo ma accogliente. Pizza veramente buona. L'unica pecca é che chiude presto al sabato sera (alle 23 ). Non hanno le calze antiscivolo in caso che ti dimentichi le tue.

Dopo il restyling di qualche anno fa ...un pò meno. Chi ha installato la luce nella pavimentazione probabilmente era ubriaco. Non c'è una luce in fila all'altra ..!!! La pavimentazione doveva essere fatta di un altro colore; lo sporco e le macchie risaltano!!! La preferivo come era anni fa!!

Fu edificata a inizio Novecento in stile romanico-lombardo con tre navate. Prima di allora Legnarello, uno dei borghi più popolati di Legnano nonchè uno dei rioni originali del Carroccio, non aveva una chiesa parrocchiale vera e propria.
Particolare la facciata esterna, con ornature che le conferiscono un aspetto che ricorda lo stile medievale. Sul lato sinistro all'esterno della chiesa è presente un piccolo Battistero.
