We really enjoyed our time at PNS. Sure, this isn’t comparable with Western Ski resorts, but compared to any place close to the east coast/southeast, this place is amazing. A great place to learn to ski/board and affordable. Highly recommended.

Nice leisurely walk through exhibits confirming our views. Was refreshing to see dinosaurs and not have to read the billions of years ago garbage that you are so used to seeing in books. Liked the biblical perspective of the true creation and explanation for how it could happen for all those who doubt.

This is a wonderful Victorian mansion with great views of the Ohio River. The docent gave an excellent and very informative tour. There is some parking just on the side of the house, and more on the street. The mansion is magnificently restored with some original and period pieces. The price is only $7.50 and you should bring cash.

Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg

Dockside riverboat casino offers up more than 74,000 square feet of casino gaming including 2,000 slots and 97 table games.

It's just a normal Indiana casino, but the boats to the west are much better. Since Jack and Rising Star are nearby, you'd think they'd do better. But the only $5 bj table required another $5 side bet, which the dealer informed me of when I sat down. Obviously he knows what's going on, cause only 3 seats were taken here, whereas at Jack's and Rising Star, the $5 tables were full. So they didn't get a shot at me and my gf's $400.

Not sure why casinos do this. We just left finding this out. I think they lose money doing this, but I guess not.

The first zipline over the lake is amazing. The staff is well-trained so the whole course was both safe and fun. Highly recommend! Note: the minimum weight limit is necessary to make sure you make it all the way across the lake. My daughter was right at the minimum and stalled out just short of the end (but was quickly rescued without incident).

First Farm Inn Horseback Riding

Two-hour riding lessons are available year-round at First Farm Inn for both B&B guests and those who aren't staying with us. Call to make a reservation. Lessons begin with grooming and getting acquainted with your horse. We tack up, mount safely and correctly, then begin in the riding arena, working on basic commands and getting comfortable with your horse. After you have demonstrated control and respect for your horse, we move out and practice riding through the woods and around the farm. Horses can be unpredictable. By coming to the farm, you accept responsibility and all liability for your experience on the ground or riding. First Farm Inn horses are a colorful assortment of breeds and personalities that will be matched as much as possible to your personality and physical attributes. It's a very individual experience, no more than five riders in each lesson. More experienced riders report riding at First Farm Inn is "like owning your own horse" but with coaching to ensure that you are safely centered and balanced.

Reviewed By Jill R - Overland, Missouri, United States

I love how the horses are loved and well cared for. I also like the way the owner tells you about the personality of each horse.

When you get there none of the horses are prepped. While I like grooming horses, most people do not. It could be seen that the owner is putting the rider to "work" by making them groom the horse, saddle, unsaddle, and wash the horse at the end. In my experience most people do not want to "pay" to work. If this is not the type of experience you want, then don't go here. But, if you want the whole experience, this is the place you want to be.

City of Spires Historical Museum and Foundation Inc.

It is a local Museum comprised of an 1848 sanctuary. It is a former church. It contains a very old organ that is still in operation. A panoramic view of the Ohio River and the shore of Kentucky is a popular attribute of the museum.

We had an outstanding tour of the museum/church. The tour guide Jim was very knowledgeable about the museum/organ/architect. He was able to answer all our questions and was very friendly and patient with all we asked. We found this museum and town to be a high light of our vacation! He also gave us directions on how to tour the Alleys and Windows of Aurora.
