What to do and see in Las Condes, Santiago Metropolitan Region: The Best Outdoor Activities

August 5, 2021 Chanda Heide

Santiago is one of those metropolitan joys where the more you look, the more you find. Funky cafes and dance clubs dot Bellavista, Forest Park art collections range from pre-Columbian to contemporary, and architecture runs the gamut from the 16th-century San Francisco Church to mirrored office towers. Shop with the locals at Mall Panora¡mico and give your palate meals to remember with hearty Chilean fare.

Chile Running Tours

Chile Running Tours is a unique and revolutionary initiative to combine two activities that sound as different as they are - running and urban tourism - into a single healthy, entertaining and cultural activity. Our aim is to encourage and motivate any person who wants to continue with their usual training program or just wants to run for pleasure, whilst learning about local culture throughout their run through the neighborhoods, landmarks, monuments, parks and streets that make up Santiago.

Andes Wind

I founded Andes Wind in 2001 with the idea to specialize me in day trips at the Central Andes range near to Santiago de Chile city. Looking for a route that differentiated of the traditional offer, is born the tour to the Aconagua Natural Reserve in the Mendoza province, Argentina, being until today one of the less known tours but more surprising by his natural beauty and by the attraction that generates to know the highest mountain of all America. My philosophy always has been to work with small groups, of no more than ten people, what allows to know us more, adapt to the each one needs and be more felxible so that each tour turn into an unforgettable experience.

Cabalgatas Santiago

Reviewed By 958katiag

20 minutes outside the city, a trip to Cabalgatas is the perfect way to enjoy the beautiful scenery and nature Santiago has at its doorstep. (Do take note that not all cabs/Ubers know how to navigate the last ten minutes, so a hired transfer or ten extra minutes of cushion in the transit is ideal!) We chose the 2.5 hour tour- the Swedish guides were fun and knowledgeable (thanks girls!), our dog friends ran with us and entertained the whole way, and horses are calm and easy to manage, making this is a tour perfect for all skill levels. (Plus, they adjust further and choose a trail based on the party.) What more can you ask for? The fact that you can leave the city behind to enjoy a horseback ride through the mountains may be one of Santiago’s best kept secrets.
