This road is quite unique. From what I understand, it was located elsewhere, but the music was disturbing neighbors. The new location is somewhat isolated, so a long drive from out of Antelope Valley is probably not warranted, unless you just gotta hear it. You actually do get the melody for us older listeners. The idea of a musical road is intriguing for the younger set.

This was a beautiful park. We visited in mid April, 2017. Poppies were mostly gone. Local folks said best season is depending on the weather, so you could either closely check weather, or be lucky if your trip date is already set. I was told end of March is good so we may visit here again next year. If you walk the longest trail, it'll be about 2 hours of walk. So, it's a good exercise as well. There are several other places within 100 miles from this place. We visited a couple and flowers were pretty dense here.

The Hangar is a special place to say the least! It's a beautiful little ballpark with all of the amenities of a large stadium including sky boxes. This is the home of the Lancaster Jethawks of the California league. The caliber of play here is excellent and there's not a bad seat in the house. There's even area's designated for children and a team store. All of this is and more for an average of $9 per person!

This is a nice place for all ages and life style. There great little places to eat. Lots of different and good food. Theater. Antique stores to find that special something. Farmers market with the best fruit and veggie's. Love it. At night they have bands outdoors. But don't forget if you just want a treat the candy shop, coffee and ice cream. For those who love museums there is one. Very nice lots to se and do for a day or night out. Check if it's the small race car time of year. They block off some roads but you can find parking.
Christmas is very nice. Do check on the happenings. Before you plan your trip.

This is a nice park. Good for walking, bike riding, skating or having a picnic. Away from the noise of the city and anything city like. The only down side is the drive to get there. It's a good distance away and the only "services" around are bathrooms.

This is a smallish park kinda hidden near a residential neighborhood.
Small but good.
Learn about the beauty of our desert and how the desert lifecycle works.
Trails-paths are level and good for small kids as well as the elderly.
Get out and enjoy nature by yourself or with family and friends.

We enjoyed going to the Portraits of America Concert with Goerge Bugatti and his group. It was the opening show for the 2016-17 Season for the Antelope Valley Community Concerts Association. We purchased our tickets on line.
The theater is very nice with comfortable seating. There is also a snack bar that sells wine and beer.
The show featured the famous songs from cities around the United States. It was accompanied with stellar photographs and some videos of the cities. There was also some interesting information about the composers, original singers, and interesting facts about each city.
It was a great night with a tour of America through song. Songs included such songs as Wichita Lineman (accompanied with interesting photos of Kansas lineman and their training program); Walking in Memphis, Left My Heart in San Franisco, New York New York, NY State of MInd, Carolina in the Morning.

George Bugatti is a talented singer, pianist and performer. He has been a featured performer in Las Vegas at the Bellagio Resort. He also has starred in shows in New York City.
The Lancaster Performing Arts Center is a very nice theater and has many events throughout the year.

High culture in the high desert: MOAH boasts some amazing, trendy modern artists in their exhibits, along with somewhat lesser-known people and locals. Lately we've seen work by "desert queen" Kim Stringfellow, Jeffrey Vallance (love!) and others. Free admission (donations accepted), lots of free parking right outside and around the corner, dining in the same block. Recommend also visiting the Western Hotel Museum a block east on days when it's open. Also recommend taking the Metrolink ($10 day pass on a Saturday) to save driving if you're coming from LA; the station is a couple of long blocks from the museums.

We love this museum, with its dreamlike cave passages and vintage displays. Definitely stop here, admission is only a few bucks and you won't see other places quite like this. (We don't, however, love the bossy young guy who works there -- others do -- who insists that you listen to his spiel and inspect the photos in his album when you'd rather wander the facility by yourself. He can get pretty snippy when you pass him by or accidentally brush up against a piece of furniture. But a neat experience nonetheless.) When you're finished with the interior of the museum, don't miss the short nature trail loop that begins just outside. There's a weathered cabin and great rock formations to provide good photo ops. After that, you might want to zip over to Saddleback Butte for a hike (in good weather), or walk around in the Phacelia Wildlife Sanctuary nearby (there's an impressive Joshua tree forest just north of Saddleback on the way. Look up the Wildlife Sanctuaries tab on the Parks LACounty Gov website for locations of other open space preserves in the area.)

We went to Lancaster City Park. Its a very nice park with sports complexes. They have tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, and Big 8 Softball Complex. There is an activity center.
The park has a nice playground for children. There is also nice picnic tables for family or group picnics.
