Lake Lanao is the second largest lake in the Philippines. The largest lake in Mindanao. The people living around the lake are called Maranaos . They have a very rich and colourful culture. The Maranao Royal House is called Torogan. Around the lakes also are beautiful mosques since almost 100% of Maranaos are muslims. Lanaos have also three other lakes adjacent or located in Lanao del sur: Uyaan/ Madamba Lake, Butig Lake and Pualas or Dapao Lake.
