Visited Saturday 1/23 to grab some of our favorite basil infused olive and compliments to the young man that assisted us. Ended up getting some lemon infused white balsamic vinegar and premium white balsamic vinegar. Then saw some biscottis that are amazing! Definitely we’d to stop in if you’re in Lake Placid!!

Mirror Lake has it all - wonderful views; calm lake water; a 2.7 mile interlocking brick pathway all the way around, including part of the downtown street; a small sandy beach; a toboggan run in winter right onto the frozen lake!; kayaks to rent; flowers and flowering shrubs in May/June; and I must have forgotten something! We walked the loop 3 times during our week's stay, and saw walkers, joggers, families, mom's with strollers! Mirror Lake is well worth the stay in Lake Placid!

This is an easy well marked trail....we did the additional red trail to the summit of Rocky Knob....this is not a very steep hike at hall for going uphill, once on top you will get views of Lake Placid and Whiteface on onside, and the high peaks on the other side (Marcy, Algonquin..etc’).

If your travels are bringing you to the Lake Placid area or shoot, from anywhere in the Adirondacks it's worth the drive! We travel to the Adirondacks at least 5 times a year and EVERY time we travel to the area we are SURE to visit Chris and Stephen at The Adirondack Store at the top of the hill just before you descend into Lake Placid! They have EVERYTHING Adirondacks! AMAZING one of a kind and Rare antiques perfect for decorating your "lodge" with a piece of history from the Adirondacks. Many UNIQUE keepsakes and new decorator items, and ps...they even have a top notch decorator and interior design team! One of a kind pieces of artwork, and they are even carrying custom artwork by Adirondack renowned artist Barney Bellinger! Best of all is the knowledge, charm, and fun of talking and dealing with the owners Stephen and Chris! A MUST stop to the Adirondacks and Lake Placid area to buy that perfect keepsake or even just to browse the selection and decor! It was my 11 year old daughters birthday while we took our last trip through and even with a full store of customers, Stephen took the time to personally gift wrap an adorable "Maileg Mice" gift we found there for her...thank you so much!! Stop in...you wont be disappointed.
