M Lazy C Ranch

Reviewed By KCZAQT - Iowa City, United States

This place was wonderful! About an hour drive (a super scenic, beautiful drive) from Colorado Springs, this Ranch is located just off of Hwy 24. Our guide, Jake, was professional, knowledgable, and laid back which made for a perfect trail experience. The horses on our ride (Jim, Madero, Logan, and Poker) appeared to be well-cared for and were all very well-behaved. The views on the ride were stunning: lots of forests and mountains. We stopped for lunch on the top of the highest hilltop on the property and it was a wonderful experience. I'd recommend this for anyone from beginner to advanced riders.

Wilkerson Pass

We happened upon this location traveling through, so not a planned stop. There was plenty of parking, fantastic views of distant mountains and trees, hummingbirds at the feeders and a nice picnic area with lots of tables. Some geocaches in the area too so a win-win.

Drove up to see this lake and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful. Had camping and a Maria that rents all kinds of things. Bought some items there for a picnic and sat out at one of the lake front picnic table and just enjoyed the cool breeze and Mountain View’s across the lake.
