Great environment, at the time we were there it was a bit chilly. Just take a sweater and jacket. Nice environment to go walking/hiking. There are some restaurants at the place where you can park your car. And from there you can walk uphill to some other restaurants or farms.

La Clusaz Ski Resort

Having had a lengthy absence from the piste, we decided it was time to get our ski legs back! On an extended weekend trip to Lyon we incorporated 2 days skiing. La Clusaz offered close proximity and good value.
However the resort totally exceeded our expectations. Great ski area, excellent access, great mountain restaurants (Bergerac ❤️❤️).... we will definitely be back.

Situated in the picturesque area next to Lac des Confins, this is a nice traditional goat's cheese farm. The children enjoyed seeing the goats and the surroundings are the imposing Aravis Mountains. Needless to say, there's a shop where you can buy locally produced cheeses and honey amongst other items, priced as you might expect for the location. Worth a visit as part of a trip up to the Lac.

Esf la Clusaz

This is my second time skiing and arranged for a private instructor for myself and my two boys aged 8 and 11, for 2 hrs lesson each day for 5 days.
Our instructor was Ronan and he was amazing, he had the patience of a saint. My two boys Oscar and Frankie were skiing down blue and red runs by end of the week and were at a competent level. I found skiing a lot more frightening but with Ronan help and confidence I managed to ski to the bottom of the mountain- he always made me feel safe and that I could do it!! Thank you ESF and particularly Ronan he was fantastic - great humour and enjoyed spending time with him.

We were recommended to use this ski school and are very pleased we did. We had a private lesson for all 5 of us, one had skied 25 years ago the children (11, 9 and 9)and I had been learning in a snow dome this summer. He was fantastic. It worked really well for us and was great fun learning together. Cricket was patient and fun and pushed us when we needed it. He gave good advice to where we should ski in the afternoons too. We will be back next year and will be asking for Cricket again.
