I had the opportunity to join the yin sound healing and handstand class with Dewi and it was a blast. She is a great teacher, with so much softness and knowledge. a chanting at the end was the best for ending up the class. The place is so beautiful and already so quiet. Best place ever to do yoga in Kuta.

The first time I knew Marilu was from Sharath Yoga Centre teachers directory and apparently she was the only authorised teacher teaching outside Bali and Java. I had been planning to practice Ashtanga yoga under a teacher's guidance outside Java and was tremendously excited as Marilu teaches in Kuta Lombok! Marilu is an awesome, compassionate, and knowledgeable teacher who is passionate about what she teaches. She would attempt her best to accommodate my needs and adjusted my practice based on my personal conditions. By the time I attended her class, it was conducted in a small group setting which allowed her to give direct feedbacks to each student. Though Marilu's classes are beginner-friendly, some basic understanding about yoga poses, the proper alignments, maintaining equanimous Ujjayyi breathing, concept of bandhas (energy seals) and names of poses in Sanskrit will significantly help you to get the most out of her Ashtanga classes. Ikara Ashtanga Yoga under Marilu's guidance will be the place I will return to for a longer period of Mysore practice and traditional led class. I definitely recommend Marilu to you guys who want to either learn and deepen Ashtanga yoga practice! ;)

The whole family had the shoulder and back massage, my daughters asked for medium pressure and my wife relaxing or gentle, I didn’t get a choice which was fine by me as I wanted it to be remedial which it was. All of us agreed that it was an excellent massage. For me it was a different style to any other massage that I’ve had before (maybe traditional Lombok?) but it was very effective and just what I both wanted and needed. Every little knot was worked on and smoothed out and I left walking on air and moving so loose and with ease. Will be back to get another one just before I leave to go home!
