現在は久留米市美術館となっています。今回はブリジストン美術館改装工事のため収蔵作品がこちらへ貸し出され”じっと見る”という企画展が開催されました。人物、自然、馬、生物、都市、見えないものとテーマが決められそれに縁のある展示物でした。総数130点と手ごろな数で、疲れることなく過ごせました。平日ではありましたが、観覧者はそこそこおりました。エミール・ガレの2点ある壺は秋を思わせる茶色をベースにしたものと緑を主体とするものの色の取入れ具合がとてもきれいでした。自分としては気に入ったのは佐伯祐三のテラスの広告と題された強い色が茶色の中で光っている作品です。会場の中には日本庭園を前にゆったりと座れるソファが3つある場所もあり、ここで目を庭と青空を眺めて一休みいたしました。

Probably great to visit on the weekdays and during the off-season. Otherwise, you'll soon get annoyed by the traffic and time it takes to find parking and by the crowds at the top. The only reason to visit it during the holidays would be out of traditional obligation.

... surrounding the museum. Seasonal flowers are always in bloom around the picturesque Fountain. Great photo opportunities everywhere in the garden: coi, turtles, ducks, Waterfalls, bamboo groves, hills, greenery, etc ... Just a lovely place to unwind.

The English website does not give information to find the mapcode (I managed somehow), but the statue is so tall that it can be seen from a long distance.
Shrines and temples usually involve some climbing in this one was no exception.The statue forms a nice contrast to the red structure beside it. We climbed up the stairs and the view was worth it.
Having a car helps.

You'll find mostly anything you want here. The dining court is pretty good: spacious, lots of variety. Parking is also not too much of a hassle. Just stay away from mid-day weekend traffic.

You can start anywhere, but a great starting point could be at 100 Year Park (Hyakunen Koen) on the south bank. Head east towards Hita or west towards Daizenji. Either way, you're guaranteed peaceful solitude, excellent air and scenery, but most importantly, escape from the traffic of Kurume.

数日前（1月下旬）近くを通りかかったので立ち寄りました。年末年始の雑踏が一段落するまで参拝を控えていたかのような家族連れで拝殿前は結構な賑い。お目当ては赤ちゃんのお祓いだった様です。
参拝後、神社下の筑後川河川敷公園、境内の真木神社＆軍艦千歳慰霊碑をさっと巡りましたが、こちらの方は拝殿前とは打って変わってシーン。真木和泉守も千歳も寂しそうでした。ちなみに、千歳とは空母千歳のこと。

... on a sunny, fine day with a picnic basket. Lots of beautiful flowers and spacious lawns for kids to run around freely while you get some sun.
