We got the post bus from Soll to Kufstein (€1.40 each way if bought from tourist info in advance rather than €5.40 on bus) and then walked the historic trail around the Fortress - best bit is the "wine alley" at the beginning.
We then went to the fortress and took the "cable car"which was really a lift up to the top. If you like Castles then this is a fascinating experience with all sorts of hidden gems - especially the museum which is deceptively large, and don't miss the walk underneath the rocks through the fortress.
If you are there at noon then you can also hear the organ being played throughout the fortress - excerpts from Phantom of the Opera when we were there.
All in all we spent around 3 hours here (including a drink in the courtyard cafe listening to the organ) and would strongly recommend it

This little church on the Worgl - Kufstein road is well worth a visit. Carved out of the rock and perched above the village, it is 650 years old with a different chapel on each floor, each one charming and with its own character. Very atmospheric. Lots of stairs.

Took the two lifts (a connector to the top) in the single chair ride.
The first part is through forest replete with birdsong. Second stage takes you on high where you can view while imbibing at a couple of nearby spots or sally up the paths to the high alpine where you can commune with the bell-jangling cows and cross a couple of brooks. So very nice up there.

My teenaged son wanted to hike in the Alps during our visit. He had no idea what he was getting into but totally enjoyed the experience. He hiked the Kaisertal mountain outside Kufstein for six hours and the photos he brought back were incrediable. Not for the out of shape or faint of heart.

We spent a lovely few hours here feeding the many different animals who, although it was very snowy, were very happy to see us. A lovely short walk in the Wilderness followed by a nice hearty meal in the Gasthaus.

During our travels through Austria in July 2016 we made a daytrip to Kufstein and had lunch at Café Moccador at the Inntal Center.
It made a good impression with an outdoor Terrace, plants and a winter garden inside with classic design and was frequented by locals and tourists of all age groups alike.
We chose a seat outside, since the weather was gorgeous.
Staff was overall attentive, but did get our main courses wrong at first. They were also charming and customer oriented, because they exchanged the dishes without quibble, apologized and brought the right ones around ten minutes later with a smile.
We ordered one apple schorle (apple juice and water mixed), one Gasteiner Elements Alpenglow cranberry juice drink, two Kaesespaetzle, one small side salad and one Hot Love ice cream sundae.
The meal was of good quality, generously sized and the flavors excellent. Value was also good at 29.20 Euro (ca. 31.35 USD).
We would return for another tasty lunch/dinner in our future, when visiting Kufstein.
Would we recommend this venue to a friend? YES!
Would we want to enjoy lunch/dinner at this venue again in our future? YES!

Visite inadaptée pour des personnes handicapées. Accès, soit via des escaliers, soir par un funiculaire. Le lieu très bien entretenu, raconte l'histoire de la ville et de la région. Forteresse construite au moyen âge et utilisé lors des guerres 14/18 et 39/45. Y sont visibles des montages de scènes de torture et d'inquisition.Du haut des remparts, la vision aux alentours donne un aperçu du contrôle de la région. Des manequins représentant les armées de l'époque et des canon y sont encore à voir. Un musée du ski présente les ancêtres de nos ski, rackettes et bobleight.

Altough it was very hot the day I went in, the swimming pool was not crowded. Several pool sfor several activities. The people in are very friendly and the staff is paying attention of the rules. I liked it
