The walk to the waterfall is through some pretty spectacular scenery. It's a relatively easy walk, but make sure you have good solid footwear, plenty of water and head wear.

I was looking for things to do around our accommodation in Ferma when I came across the TA listing for "Minoan Water Tanks"... after passing it almost every day during our stay, we finally decided to check out this oddity to see if there was any more information, or even any proof that it is indeed a Minoan artifact. My wife is very much into Minoan archaeology and I thought she might be able to shed some light on it.
We couldn't. It's just there. Carved precisely into the rock for an unknown reason, at an unknown time, by unknown people. I'd love a bit more information about why this was called Minoan. It could be, but why would they carve out this big square basin into the rocks. There are no other Minoan sites near by as far as we could tell.
It seems to have been deliberately created with access to the sea water, but over time part of it has eroded and now there is quite a large hole where the sea comes in and out. It could be for storing fish, it could be for bathing (there are nice steps carved into the rock to help access).. who knows? Might as well have been put there by aliens.
Can anyone shed light on this supposedly Minoan artifact?

Небольшой магазин одежды, находится по главной дороге из Иерапетры-Куцунари в Ферма. Между отелями Альмира Вилладж и Калимера Саншайн. Увидела случайно, потому что одежду вывешали у входа, иначе не догадаться зайти. В этом месте магазинов нет, рядом таверна Курос.

12 year old and 15 year old sons went on the crazy sofa here. They had a brilliant time and enjoyed every bit of it. We went on the boat and got a lot of lovely photos of them. They highly recommend this and would love to go again. The team was professional and great fun.
