What to do and see in Kodagu (Coorg), Karnataka: The Best Sightseeing Tours

October 17, 2021 Brandee Mangan

The misty hills, lush teakwood and sandalwood forests, and acres of tea and coffee plantations of Kodagu are, in a word, stunning. Also known as Coorg and dubbed "The Scotland of India," Kodagu is a postcard-perfect region of scattered villages and hamlets, which are the epitome of old-world charm. Kodagu is ideal for outdoor activities such as trekking, angling and white-water rafting, and major festivals like Keil Poldu (worship of weapons), Cauvery Shankaramana (return of the river goddess) and the Huttari (harvest) festival are a huge draw.

I booked a domestic, international Meet and Assist transit service with your company for the first time. To say that I am very pleased with the service is to say nothing. I was met with a name placard just at the aircraft, taken by cart to a luggage pick-up area, and stayed at an arrival lounge for several hours to wait for my international flight check-in. Your customer service representative, Ajay, was extremely professional and attentive, really took great care of me as a solo female traveler with a few big suitcases, it was important to me to get an assist and feel safe during my transit time. When the time for my check-in came, another employee, Beny, with her colleague, accompanied me to the check-in counters and helped me go through all the procedures, taking me straight to my boarding gates. It was the best airport experience I had in India. Definitely worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Mercara Gold Estate is a beautiful 12-acre estate located 8 KM from Madikeri. Whilst coffee was growing here since the 1960s we acquired it in 1998 and began a process of transformation by organising it into a well laid out farm with a wide array coffee, spices and fruit trees. Our vision was to develop Mercara Gold Estate into a fully-integrated unit, we began processing and roasting our coffees on the estate. We follow all time-tested processes with passion to produce our own range of boutique style coffee and well-balanced blends.

100% would book this again with Bangs 'n' Memories (BnM). Bangalore Tour by Tuk Tuk, organized by Bags 'n' Memories (BnM) was the perfect day trip tour around Bangalore. We looked over a number of trips for our sole day in Bangalore, and here's all the reasons why this is the best option: 1- Tuk Tuk: with the insane traffic in Bangalore (even by India standards), the Tuk Tuk provides the extra flexibility, manoeuvrability, and compactness to drive and park anywhere! If you go in a car, get ready to hit traffic jams. 2- They organized admission to all sites: Everything was paid up front, and then it BnM handled getting our tickets and we never had to worry about cash. If you are travelling a lot, you'll really appreciate having no worries during the day, as BnM take care of it all! 3- They organized an perfect authentic lunch! And it was perfect. :-) We had come from a co-workers wedding outside Bangalore and the lunch BnM organized was spot on perfect, just like the meals we had all week. 4- They were flexible in start/finish time, adjusted the tour to our schedule. We were bogged down from late travel the night before, but they adjusted to help us out. Really, You should go with this :-) Tuk Tuk tour is 100% the way to go. Plus it's fun and authentic to bomb around an Indian City in a Tuk Tuk!! And Bags 'n' Memories really put thought into how to help foreigns and travellers get around easily.
