Memorial complex dedicated to WWII.
Kind of Communist "propaganda" remaining from the Soviet Union times.
Poor maintained.
Same time worth to see and enjoy a fantastic view to the Dnieper River and it's wild nature at left bank locally called "plavnyi".
Do not go there in hot weather as it has no shelters or any facilities

Some of these local museums are hit or miss, but this one offers a very complete overview of the local environment, which, given that Kherson is on huge estuary, is very rich. Like all good Soviet museums, it has a lot of taxidermy and not all of it is decaying. I wish I understood more of the labels, because there really is a lot covered. Also has WWII exhibits -- same issue.

Really loved the artwork from the Soviet and post-Soviet Era by the same artists. It was intriguing to see the freedom they felt when the fear of censorship was lost and you could really see a different in the artwork. It is not huge so it really is possible to get a in-depth visit in in an afternoon. The staff are very friendly and accomodating, the temporary esxhibits were delightful. Mostly a more modern styl but also some lovely pre-Soviet works along Impressionistic lines on the top floor.
