You can actually climb to the top of the lighthouse! It was a beautiful day and we could see into the water below. We saw a manatee in the water below. Great view from the top. If you can give it try. Nice park. Lots of picnic tables and walking paths.

This was our first time here, I have lived in Miami for 7 years and Lynne even longer than me and, neither of us ever went to Key Biscayne before, it is really lovely, the lighthouse is really pretty, it is located inside the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, there are a few walking paths or you can rent bikes, there is the beach, it has a totally different vibe from Miami yet, you are 10 minutes from the city, we will definitely be back again ❤️ The only thing I would improve is the closing time at the lighthouse area, as the park is open till later that area should be too and not close at 4 pm, way too early. Please stop here while in Key Biscayne. It is like going back in time - an old zoo-type park that now is taken over naturally by birds and critters. Yes, we saw peacocks, ibises, iguanas, gorgeous ducks, egrets. Very manageable for strollers, walkers or wheelchairs. Free and in the open - we got in a couple of mile walk that was unforgettable.

Parking. A route as long or short as you want. Water views the entire distance. And... Bathrooms. Perfect for a runner, walker, families, solo. Only downside is some bicycles are on the walking path. There is a designated bicycle path so I don’t think they are following the rules. A bonus - saw manatees! Also lots of great beaches and Sea World, Vizcaya are close.
