The National WWII Museum is the top-rated tourist destination in New Orleans, TripAdvisor's #2 museum in the world and #2 in the U.S., and an unforgettable way to experience World War II—from industrial efforts on the home front to the combat experience of the American servicemember abroad. Offering a compelling blend of sweeping narrative and poignant personal detail, the Museum features immersive exhibits, multimedia experiences, and an expansive collection of artifacts and first-person oral histories to take visitors inside the story of the war: why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today. Beyond the galleries, the Museum offers unique access to experiential history, including an opportunity to tour and even ride on an authentically restored PT-boat, tours behind the scenes to handle artifacts alongside Museum curators, and an impressive collection of restored and working macro-artifacts to discover. The Museum is open daily, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. nationalww2museum.org
We spent a little over a half day at the museum and left more to see for a future visit. As suggested in Trip Advisor reviews we first bought tickets and experienced "Beyond All Boundaries", narrated by Tom Hanks. It was awesome and was a great way to kick-off a visit to the museum.

Built in 1787, this is the oldest plantation house in the Lower Mississippi Valley.
Destrehan Plantation is a former Louisiana plantation notable for its antebellum mansion. It is located in southeast Louisiana near the town of Destrehan. During the 19th century, the plantation was a major producer of indigo and then sugar cane. Jean-Noël Destréhan (1754-1823), the first United States Senator from Louisiana in 1812, is the owner most commonly associated with the home. Destréhan was influential in transitioning the Orleans Territory into statehood. Construction of the home, built in the French Colonial style, began in 1787 under Charles Pacquet, a mulatto carpenter, and was completed for Robert Antoine Robin de Logny in 1790. For his efforts, Pacquet received one brute negro, a cow and calf, 100 bushels each of corn and rice, and $100 in cash. Destréhan and his wife, Marie-Claude Céleste Eléonore Robin de Logny (daughter of Robert Antoine Robin de Logny) purchased the plantation upon Robin de Logny's death in 1792 and raised 14 children in the home. Areas of the plantation on display include slave cabins, the plantation home, the outdoor kitchen, the field bell, the wash room, the school house, and a trapper’s cabin. Destrehan Plantation was involved in a major slave revolt in 1811. Eighteen rebels, including three of Jean-Noël Destréhan’s former slaves, were trialed and executed at the plantation. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Destrehan Plantation is currently under the care of the River Road Historical Society. The site is open to visitors daily from 9:00 in the morning until 4:00 in the afternoon. Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $7 for children (7-17). Admission includes a guided tour, demonstrations, and access to the dependency buildings. Parking is free. Destrehan Plantation was used as a location in the 1994 film “Interview with a Vampire” starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt as well as the 2013 film “12 Years a Slave” staring Chiwetel Ejiofor.

The bartender was drunk and very nasty attitude. The regular drunks are allowed to hustle patrons for free drinks.
Bar was very dirty and smelled horrible.
I was kicked out after complaining to the owner about the horrible conditions needless to say this dive gets a proper 1 star rating.

Went there for an intro class and then came back twice more to practice shooting.
The place is well maintained, clean and safety standards and adherence are flawless. Prices are fair and staff are super friendly and helpful. This is also the closest place to downtown NOLA where you can get training for concealed carry permit. Plenty of parking behind the store.
Will definitely return.

If you don't want a condescending, patronizing guide don't use Greg Dini. He clearly is an experienced guide but expects you to be as good as him, criticizing your every cast without instruction. If you want to have fun flyfishing and learn something find another guide. He would be horrible instructing kids.

Very nice ballpark. The quality of ball is very nice and the price is just right. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The seats are individual seats. The food choices are pretty good, more than just burgers, hot dogs, and fries.
