Located in the Business district of Karachi, it is the only museum of its kind in Pakistan that offers an insight to creation of money, its printing, circulation, regulation of Pakistani Currency - the Rupee. It has in its display all notes that are or were in circulation including a vast collection of current and historic coins. History of the central Bank, pictures of its inauguration, speeches of the Quaid, original treaties, documents, manuscripts, details of Governors, and historical desks, rooms and artefacts including an original gold weighing scale, note sorter, etc are on display Commemorative coins issued by the State Bank are also on display. A separate section on stamps and original collection of the famous calligraphist Sadequain, who in early days worked for State bank are also on display in different galleries. A souvenir shop sells replicas of artefacts too. The building itself is impressive that was built before the creation of Pakistan and housed the Imperial Bank of India. It is a grotesque structure made in pink Jaisalmeer stone that was brought in from Rajasthan. It has a grand entrace and is open to all. A lot of students visit the place where they have conducted tours too. Though the building is located on the mani Chundrigar Road with large D shaped garden and grand driveway but entrance is from a security gate on the side Mumtaz Hasan Road.

The palace was used as the residence of Quid-e-Azam's sister, Fatima Jinnah until her death in 1967
Mohatta Palace takes you back to a royal time. We toured the palace and it was a great historical experience. Exhibits change every so often. There is a small gift shop inside as well! We also attended a private musical event (pre-Covid). The site is very well maintained.

Frere Hall is a must see! It's a combination of museum, art, and history. Exhibits change and it's a great learning experience. The iconic site needs more upkeeping. When you walk through the exhibit hall, look up to see an unfinished master piece (I'll spare the details for your visit).

This is a must see museum of the Navy in Karachi. They have made sure to make it interesting for the kids as most museums are usually boring for the kids. When in Karachi do visit this museum along with the family for a truly entertaining and educating experience!
