we visited fort during evening hours in rainy season with our family and small kids. This fort is surrounded by three rivers. And greenery all around. Fort itself is not maintained by govt. But natural beauty is its speciality. It is unauthorisedly occuplied by local muslims and has a large mosque there inside fort. View of jhalawar is great. Not a common place for visitors so be safe during evening hrs. There is no facility of stay or restaurants in surrounding place. So carry your own eatables with you.

We arrived at the RTDC Chandrawati hotel fairly late in the evening driving from Pushkar, via some wrong routes and broken roads, as I did not trust the SatNav device.
The following morning the Manager walked up and explained the ceremony to us. He said, "although traditionally the word 'Sangam' refers to the confluence of rivers, here in Jhalawar, during these few days, involve, mingle and welcome people from different cultures, languages, beliefs and so on." True to his explanation, foreigners to the city - whether Indians or Aliens, were not just welcome, they were literally chaperoned and made to feel important through every bit of their stay.
Tourism department and local administration officials in this place deserve a big round of applause for managing the event smoothly, making people comfortable and indeed making this one of the most warm and homely experiences that India has to offer.
The only issue is with the accommodation at RTDC Chandrawati - the higher ups in RTDC simply do not care and are destroying this sprawling property by their lackadaisical attitude.

This was the most beautiful natural place in Jhalawar. Was built only of wood without any foreign particles not even a single nell. But i cought fired second last year.
