To get to this monastery goes through old road which is in very bad shape or through shortcut trough the canyon's narrow roads. Either way is dangerous however the destination's views are rewarding. It is worth seeing. A medieval monastery hidden in the Mountains.

The main river in Jermuk is called the Arpa River and flows through a large valley at the entrance to Jermuk. The views of the river are breathtaking especially from the large bridge running over the gorge or valley.
One can drive down to the rivers edge and see some very special sights along the way such as: the famous Jermuk Waterfalls; The Arch of Luck; Arev Rock and a great view of the large bridge above you.
All-in-all one should not miss walking along the Arpa River on your visit to Jermuk!

The Sanjer Medical Spa is located within the Hyatt Place Hotel in Jermuk. My wife and I used their spa during our stay in Jermuk as it is reasonably priced and quite professional. They offer a wide assortment of services and messages, and what I particularly liked was that they offer very similar medical services as the famous Sanatoriums around the city without the need to stay 10 to 14 days! Doctor Consultations can be made in a very short time and appear to be very professional.
I feel the Sanjer Medical Spa offer’s a solid replacement from the traditional “Sanatorium Medical Stay”.

There is a third smaller lake in Jermuk called The Dolphin Lake and its’ water is supplied by the Jermuk Twin Lakes via a small man-made channel. At the bottom of the smaller Dolphin Lake the water flows down to the Apna River below. This cascading water creates the Jermuk Waterfalls!!
Around the Dolphin Lake are many Seating areas so one can enjoy a tea or coffee and/or simply relax. Many tourist take advantage of walking around both the Twin Lakes as well as the Dolphin Lake. It makes a great evening stroll!!
If you are in Jermuk for the first time make sure that you spend the time to find Dolphin Lake and simply relax walking or sitting along side its’ banks.

Hot Springs

Reviewed By SLukyanov1963 - Ufa, Russia

Jermuk Deer Monument

Reviewed By ThomasfromDamascus - Damascus, Syria

On the top of the tall mountain of Jermuk one can spot a silver Statue of a Deer or also called the Deer Monument. We were told, by a local resident of Jermuk that there is a story concerning a deer and the history of the city of Jermuk.
The story states that once a hunter shot his arrow and wounded a deer on that mountain and the deer ran away and the hunter followed it and noticed the deer into a natural lake. In a few minutes the deer emerged from the lake completely healed from the arrow wound and simply ran away. These made all the local towns folk discover their water was very special.
Anyway, each day I would stare at that great Deer Monument especially towards sunset as the deer reflects the sunlight!
Don’t forget to look up to the tallest mountain in Jermuk and spot the Deer Monument. Its’ a very nice view!
