What to do and see in Island of Gozo, Malta: The Best Shopping

September 2, 2021 Etsuko Causey

Part of the Maltese archipelago, Gozo is the second-largest of the seven-island chain and basks in the Mediterranean off the coast of Sicily. More rural than its sister island, Malta, Gozo has a population of 31,000. Home to some of the oldest religious structures in the world, the fascinating Ggantija temples, the island offers dramatic orange-red sands and perfect snorkeling waters at striking Ramla Bay. Rickety buses ply Gozo's roads, making getting about the island an exciting component of your trip.

We spent a lovely couple of hours with Josette creating bath bombs made of natural products. It was a de-stressing and super fun experience. The items in Josette’s pretty shop are so unique. You can truly tell that she is so passionate and truly loves what she does. We also made friends with Daisy her gorgeous and super friendly dog. We left her workshop with a big smile on our faces loaded with the bath bombs that we made during our time there. Well done Josette and Daisy.

Spoonman’s Shop

The Spoonman’s Shop is a local artists gallery in the heart of Victoria. Our work consist in woodwork, paintings, ceramics and small handmade souvenirs. I am fascinated by the neolithic pottery so you will find some nice replicas here. I design wooden spoons with stories, wooden bowls, crosses and small decoration. Having my chisels in our shop I will be happy to present my craft.

This beautiful shop had amazing hand made jewellery and crafts. We bought a lovely hand painted magnet. It was unique and different from the usual souvenir shop choices. The owner was super friendly. You should visit this place if you have planned a trip to Gozo.
