Garrison Brothers Distillery

Garrison Brothers Distillery is Texas' first and oldest bourbon distillery. Our bourbon is hand-made from corn to cork right here on our little ranch. We are open Tuesday-Thursday, 10am-4pm and Friday & Saturday from 11am-5pm.

We had been waiting to do a tour of Garrison Brothers for over a year. We finally scored spots last week and it was worth the wait! Tours are only $10 a person, which includes samples of the process along the way and a decent pour of bourbon at the end of the tour. It was really amazing to hear Garrison's story and see the process. We arrived early, which I highly recommend, and got drinks from the outside bar. "The Donkey" was a delicious spin on a "Moscow Mule". The "Old Fashioned" was a VERY generous size for the money and tasty. They also offered beer and wine for an honor system donation. The outdoor area was very large and had plenty of places to sit and enjoy the property. Overall, I definitely recommend and will be back!

Calais Winery

Reviewed By BreadmanAustin - Austin, United States

Took some friends to Calais for their first visit and they were blown away and raved about the great wines and experience. I have known Ben for years and have found his wines to be consistently delicious. With the opening of The French Connection nearby Calais now concentrates on wines from Bordeaux varietals and The French Collection has his wines from Rhone varietals. All wines are made using 100 % Texas grapes. Calais is a low visibility operation. No sign! (Look for the French flag at the road.) The tasting room and winery are in a building dug into the ground. The wines have a definite "French" profile influence and are very well made. This is a rather small winery with high demand. Wine releases often sell out quickly. Prices are high but reasonable for the quality. Tasting prices are reasonable. Calais wines are sold only at the winery (with few exceptions.) A great stop for those who want to experience some of the very best Texas wines. Highly Recommended!

We stopped at William Chris during a weekend in Texas hill country on a wine tasting R&R trip from Louisiana. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful ambiance outside during our picnic lunch overlooking the vineyard and hills. The food was delicious! The front desk staff were very friendly and happy that we were there. We had Kyo as our sommelier and she was wonderful! Very informative and enthusiastic about their wine and the process that they use to make them. Had some smooth fruit forward medium bodied reds (which are my husband and I’s favorite). We will be back! 5 star experience!

Zero 815 Winery

Reviewed By richh188 - Treasure Island, United States

My wife and I were here for a tasting and Laura Hogsett (Owner) was very welcoming by sharing with us her industry knowledge and her awesome wines. We tasted a variety of reds and whites that were all very appealing. Her wine club, known as "Sip", has many membership benefits and options that warrant consideration. We enjoyed her products enough to take several bottles with us!! We highly recommend this winery and plan to return in the future.
