Lakrids by Johan Bulow. Ready for take off? Once upon a time in 2007 on the small Danish island of Bornholm, there was a young man who worked so hard to bring his idea to life: He wanted to create the world's best liquorice. Nothing less. His name is Johan Bulow, and today you can buy Lakrids by Johan Bulow in gourmet shops in Denmark, a few places in New York and London, and you can also find his own shops in Tivoli and Magasin. Johan Bulow has from the beginning been trying to raise awareness of liqourice. Not only for sweets, but also as a gourmet experience. With the new shop – placed where the whole world meet, the ambition of spreading his love for liquorice worldwide should be within reach. The shop has the full range - both sweet and salt liqourice, liqourice coated in chocolate, liqurorice syrup and powder, last but not least the sticks as the entire adventure began with. Almost every Sunday (11am-12:30pm) and every opening day in July, you can also try out everything from juggling to trapeze at Circus Fun. A circus artist will be able to guide you. The museum puts on special events during the holidays. The museum is closed during the Christmas holidays. Check the website for special events. 300 metres from the museum you can see one of the 6 forgotten giants, which is also worth a visit.
