Hudson is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States, with a total population of 19,063 as of the 2010 census. Before its incorporation as a town in 1866, Hudson was a neighborhood and unincorporated village of Marlborough, Massachusetts, and was known as Feltonville. From around 1850 until the last shoe factory burned down in 1968, Hudson was known as a "shoe town." At one point, the town had 17 shoe factories, many of them powered by the Assabet River, which runs through town. Because of the many factories in Hudson, immigrants were attracted to the town. Today most people are of either Portuguese or Irish descent, with a smaller percentage of people being of French, Italian, English, or Scots-Irish descent. While some manufacturing remains in Hudson, the town is now primarily residential. Hudson is served by the Hudson Public Schools district.

My husband and I visited this estate on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, and it was incredible! Nestled in the countryside between Boston and Worcester, this place is easily accessible from either direction, as well as from Cape Cod. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, and several picnic tables on the lawn allow visitors to enjoy a picnic!
We went inside the establishment to pay for a 10-sample alcohol tasting. Guests who purchase a tasting receive tasting tokens as an easy way to keep track of alcohol consumption, which is a smart idea and not something I've ever seen at other tasting rooms. Tastings come with a complimentary glass as well!
What's unique about this tasting room is that each token will get the guest a tasting of wine, beer, or spirits...all selections are available at the tasting bar. The wines are absolutely delicious! Maiden's Blush and Nashoba Mead are a must-try. I also really liked the pumpkin and blueberry ales.
If guests don't make reservations at the restaurant on site, there is a food kiosk that serves a variety of (unhealthy) options, including pizza and nachos, which is a good option for those who've had a bit to drink. In addition, there is apple and nectarine picking on site as well! Sizes come in pecks or half-bushels.
Huge shout-out to John and Selena, who made our visit truly incredible!
The only reason this establishment did not receive five stars is because of the overly crowded tasting room. The staff did their best in being attentive to guests, but lots of people were crammed into each others' personal space, which was sometimes uncomfortable.
This is a great place to visit, whether single, with a significant other, or with family!

We were looking to try another orchard just for something different.I wasn't impressed by this place. The prices for apple picking were too high. The orchard was hilly and the rows were tilted making it hard to push a stroller. Not appreciative of the long list of rules either. If I'm picking an expensive bag of apples, you bet I'm going to fill it to the top. Honey Pot Hill is off my list. Going back to my favorite orchard very soon.

We're new to the area and several people indicated we "had" to visit Trombetta's and that it was fabulous. It's a good size typical farm stand but no organic options. The flowers are beautiful but prices weren't competitive enough for me to buy any. I support buying local so if you're not looking for organic grown, check them out.

The Museum of Russian Icons was founded in 2006 as a nonprofit educational institution by Massachusetts art collector and industrialist Gordon B. Lankton. With more than 700 Russian icons and artifacts, the collection is the largest of its kind in North America, and one of the largest private collections outside Russia. Spanning six centuries, the collection includes important historical paintings dating from the earliest periods of icon "writing" to the present. The Museum facility is 16,000 square feet and comprises several galleries, research library, archive storage, conservation studio, an auditorium accommodating programs, lectures and concerts, the Russian Tea Room, terrace, and green roof.

Best place around for apple picking, the owner is friendly and often drives the tractor that pulls the hay cart. I especially like their choice of late season apples like the Fuji, Mutsu and the Jonagold.

The Wayside Inn is just beautiful! We visited for a wedding and had a lovely time! The celebration was held in a lovely tent on the grounds. The service was wonderful, as was the food! We were able to stroll the garden area and visit the pond, all beautiful!
While we didn't dine in the actual inn or stay overnight at the inn, we did pop over to explore a bit and I'm so glad that we did! The hostess provided us with fascinating and in-depth history about the inn, the area and the time period. We probably spent about 30 minutes with her, but we could have spent so much more time learning about the history of this wonderful place. After chatting with her, we visited the tavern and some of the rooms. Just an incredible place to visit.

Been wanting to come here since having their beer at a restaurant closer to home about a year ago. Was in the area last friday afternoon so stopped by. I tried 2 of the brews and both were excellent. Staff was helpful in selecting a beer to suite what I usually like. No food but you can bring your own food in. Will definitely come back again. Also, Main St in Hudson has a nice downtown to walk around.

Animal Adventures is New England's largest, privately owned animal rescue center of its kind! We have been operating in Bolton, Massachusetts since 1997. We are a rescue center first. We take in hundreds of unwanted, or unable to be cared for, animals each year. Some, we are able to find homes for, and others will live here the rest of their lives. We receive zero state or federal funding and are 100% self sufficient. We are state and USDA licensed to keep all of our animals. We follow strict care guidelines and each animal's needs are met on a daily basis. Because we are not AZA all of our funding comes from you! Whether that be by visiting our center or having us at your party or school all the money we makes comes from the work we do.Outside of the services we offer, any donations received are a huge help and we say thanks to you! We have approximately 3 acres and three buildings full of exciting animals both common and exotic from ferrets to foxes chickens to porcupines

Excellent place to see and learn all about different animals. Small but still lots to see. Nice selection of animals--mammals, birds and reptiles. A petting zoo area. Several handling classes are offered throughout the year to get up close and personal. They love for people to enjoy and learn!

Treasures galore! Local confections, local paraphernalia, this place is a great spot for knickknacks and souvenirs. Christmas decorations. Toys. Food stuff. Candy. It has an antique feel and so interesting. I LOVE bringing out of town visitors here!

I have visited the Silver Buffalo Gallery many times. They have beautiful pieces in their gallery and run wonderful shows/events for many Native American artists. We have had custom work done by some of the artists as well as picked up vintage pieces. All beautiful work and priced within reason.
I have come to know Joe the owner and and Elizabeth who know everything about everything! I have high regard for their expertise and integrity.
If you can't get to the Southwest, come here to Berlin, Ma for a visit to this gallery. Watch for their artist shows so you can meet the person(s) making the beautiful work you will be buying.
