Westchester Trail Rides

Reviewed By Immandy - Boston, United States

Westchester Trail Rides (and Cowboy Bob) makes for a fabulous horseback riding experience in the woodland hills of northern Westchester County, NY. Bob is wonderful to work with and very helpful and committed to his clients' experience. I arranged a riding experience for my son and daughter-in-law and Cowboy Bob couldn't have been better to work with. His "ranch" in Croton-on-Hudson is a beautiful spot and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the grounds, corrals, and barn, and walking the nearby trails, while Cowboy Bob guided the rest of the family on horseback. It was a beautiful day made more so by the wonderful demeanor and service of Cowboy Bob.

Reviewed By sbowen - Clifton Park, United States

My wife and I were looking for something fun and challenging that was also reasonably "pandemic friendly". The Lazy Axe was an awesome hour that succeeded in all regards. We did a "small group" session that included an hour of personalized guidance, feedback on how to improve our throws, guided games, and teaching us some trick shots. The attached picture is an example of one of many great throws resulting from their excellent guidance.

Catamount Aerial Adventure Park

Reviewed By 130MC - New York City, United States

This was our first time coming to the Adventure Park and definitely not our last! For beginners like us we felt like we were able to take on intense courses in just a few hours that we were there thanks to the training we were given from the staff and the feeling of safety while you were up on the course! We haven't tried the Black Diamond courses yet due to lack of energy and time after doing the other three but we were very entertained and very much feeling the burn after the 3 courses it was awesome! The obstacles were very well-constructed nothing rattled or shook I felt very secure I was able to reach everything which I appreciated being not so tall and my husband being not so limber was still able to have the time of his life and move through the course at a good pace! I have to say me personally I love the zip lining especially after getting all sweaty in the ropes course it was so refreshing to Breeze through the air especially towards the end when you make your way back to the entrance! The only thing I wish was that we had taken some type of attached GoPro or ask someone to take our picture because we had no photo memories but I guess it's only for safety precaution that you can't have a camera up there. Would definitely go again with some friends and try the more intense courses next time, if we can handle it not so sure LOL

Breakneck Ridge Loop

Reviewed By BlueHero - New Jersey, United States

Generally considered as the best one along Hudson valley because it is challenging and has amazing views, Breakneck ridge trail is always super crowded in summer, especially on weekends. In contrast, it was so quiet in winter that one could have all the beautiful views just to self. Even before the forcasted Nor'easter snow storm coming in, high mountains were already covered by snow. The gentle sunlight in winter further made everything look so peaceful and graceful. On top of the lookout tower on south beacon mountain, it was the true 360-degree panoramic view of extended ranges and Hudson river. Overall, it was indeed a wonderful hiking experience. Of course, hiking a steep trail during winter is more demanding than in Summer, so it is really for those prepared and capable.
