Was a little sceptical about this tourist option, but we needed to pass some time. However the tour of the building well exceeded expectations! The guided tour is only in French but they gave us English guide books that were fine. The design, furniture and decor inside the many rooms of the Chateau are exceptional. Very pleased with our visit!

Lovely little ferry [20 people??] across the river mouth from Hendaye, France to Hondarribia, Spain [and return]. Excellent opportunity to sample some pintxos [Basque country tapas] and maybe a glass or two of [Rioja] Crianza. I imagine it could be very busy, with queuing in both directions in a 'normal' [non-covid] July -but worth it! Recommended for fun!

Xingudi bay invites you to walk along the beach and explore the different perspectives of Hendaye and Hondarrabia. It is enjoyable to observe the tides and stroll around the marina and boat yard. The views extend all along the Spanish coast.
