The Center for the Performing Arts

The Center for the Performing Arts is a nonprofit organization responsible for the operation and programming of a multidisciplinary performing arts campus in Carmel, Indiana. The facilities include the Palladium, a state-of-the-art 1,600-seat concert hall; the Tarkington, a 500-seat proscenium theater; and the Studio Theater, a versatile black box with a seated capacity of 200. The Center presents scores of events each year and provides space and support services for six resident companies: Actors Theatre of Indiana, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Central Indiana Dance Ensemble, Civic Theatre, Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre, and Indiana Wind Symphony.

When the Palladium first opened, we worried that it would cannibalize the ISO, which is so important to Indy. Definitely not the case! The Palladium is an absolutely wonderful property and a fantastic addition to our arts offerings in the greater Indianapolis community. Then location itself is prime, the facility is GORGEOUS, the bookings are top-rate and varied, and my husband and I enjoy the creative options for types of season ticket purchases made available. We enjoy it so much!

Blackhawk Winery and Vineyard

Blackhawk Winery & Vineyard is a family owned winery. Our winemaker, John, specializes in dry and semisweet wines made from locally sourced grapes, in addition to the grapes from our own vines. The varietals used are French American hybrids, a delightful change from the more typical California types. The winery is also home to a small working farm, so there are lots of animals for the kids to see. Saturdays and Sundays include live music (May through October). You can bring your own picnic or purchase pizza or snacks in the tasting room. The production space and the tasting room are combined, allowing guests to view the production operation while doing their tasting.

Love this winery. All wines are good, especially cherry and lemon (if you like sweet wine). Free musical entertainment on weekends. Great place to go relax and have a glass of wine.
