worth visiting! Don‘t miss it. So affordable and yet amazingly an experience worth doing! Too bad the tour guide who assisted the guests only speak farsi...don‘t forget to bring a jacket, could be colder esp during winter days....we went on a holiday, shocking that there was no queue at all!

it is the same as it was carved more than around 25 hundred years ago on the stones , when you stand just next to the inscriptions and think about 2500 years ago no doubt you will find a great and strange feeling in yourself . everybody knows Darius the great and also Xerxes the great who has ordered for the inscriptions . in addition to what you can find in the books ,...there are meanings and history of the inscription next to the carved stones in English and Farsi .
inscription are located at the end of too beautiful valley with a waterfall that people went there for a picnic , to have a food in restaurant ,..... . In recent years a cable car , little aquarium and a few other similar fun has been added by the name of Ganjnameh Touristic Village to the area . generally all evenings are too crowded mainly holidays , visiting for the tourists recommended in the mornings .

I myself love Ibn-e Sina's character and works thus being in his tomb with eng. Seihoon's artistic architecture felt very good. The local guide was informative and very polite and hospitable. There were a few paintings of Ibn-e Sina's life around his tomb. Also there was a museum of medical equipment of different eras like even Dr. Gharib's.
The garden had beautiful trees and a small pool that made possible of nice pictures.
Just make sure you don't have problem with crowded places.

This was the 14th century Mausoleum that is said to contain the remains of Esther and her uncle Mordecai. They were Jews according to the Bible and she became the wife of Xerxes and saved the Persian Jews from persecution through her influence at court. It is a holy site of pilgrimage for Iranian Jews. We met the Rabbi and they are now down to 6 families so they are concerned about the future of the shrine. It was a lovely setting with pomegranate trees in full fruit. Well worth a visit.

Actually the covered portion of the Hamadan's ancient Achaemenid city is well done where on can walk along the ruins. The Armenian church beyond the nice museum in worth a stop, also. The museum has some very impressive pieces.

The review in Lonely Planet we thought was a bit rough on this simple but nicely done memorial to a reviewed poet. In a nicely landscaped park one finds the mausoleum to this man with his short poems in beautiful Caligraphy on opalescent stone with natural light coming through.

Alvand is referred to a Volkanic Mount Near Hamedan (Iran) with 3584m Height which is known also as Char-Gholleh. The wellknown Alvand (3428m) is more Beautiful cat-shape Cliff which is 14km far from Char-Gholleh. Climbing Alvand during winter is a little hard

The age is uncertain and its use has varied, but it was at one stage the tomb of the Alavian family. The stucco work is monochrome, but amazing. See it before it crumbles further.

located on a hill in left side of the road from Malayer to Hamedan , I had seen many times the hills and in respect to its big sign near the road I was interested to visit the hills. hopefully you can drive close to the location . really I was disappointed when we reached on top of the hill , there was a renovated building which has been covered with a shelter , entrance door to the main saloon was locked and we visited around the building . it seems most of the building had been ruined and the main part of it has been renovated . really I had no feeling to be in a historical area . later as I checked I found the building was a fire temple which returns to the Sasanid density or before of Sasanids.
recommendation : if you are interested in Noushijan visit it only in the books and internet .
