Had heard so much about the temple so we had made a gir diu Somnath Dwarka itinery. Though not religious but love the old architecture in addition to seeing the Lord. Well you have to deposit all leather items, mobile and cameras and then go for darshan. Not much crowd during our visit maybe it was exam times hence it easy to get darshan and attend aarti. Place is clean and regulated so those issues don't exist.

Girnar

Reviewed By Pukhraj_Sharma - Mumbai, India

Chilly winters. Five friends. And a resolve to step up.
If you do not start the climb too early in the morning, then it will be too late for you when you reach the top. It is said that the whole journey takes 10,000 steps with a lot of beauty along the way to take in.
We started at around 4 am and it took well over 3 and a half hours to finish the climb (Photography sessions in the middle included). The sun had already risen in the sky up above so high. It helped to bring down the chills we had from cold winds along the way.
If you are able to finish the first 3000 steps (The hardest part), the the rest of the journey will not be that difficult. The fatigue here is a mix of climate and increase in potential energy, with partial thinning of air causing scarcity of Oxygen (And life all the same).
Must visit place to check your stamina. and also if you wanna throw something or someone off after you have enjoyed the views from up above.

White Desert

The mesmerizing view of the white desert (salt) makes you feel like walking on the cloud. A place must be visited at the right time of the year (December/January) only during the full moon. The sunset and sunrise make a grand view of the place. A must see place in your lifetime.

Dwarkadhish Temple

Reviewed By rahul_g6 - Pune

It’s a hindu dham.
Luckily during my visit, there was no rush at all. We could able to complete darshan in 15 minutes.
Once you reach outside temple, you have to deposit your mobile and luggage. Only gents wallets and small ladies purse is allowed. You can carry child food / child water in small plastic bag.
So you have to deposit your mobiles to normal locker (for free). Different locker for luggage (its free too). You will find a place to keep your shoes and next to it.
Word of causation, outside temple you will find lots of street cows and bulls and they may push you. So keep yourself safe and trick to get them away if throw some water on them. After that queue starts and takes you inside temple.
Separate queue men and women. Once done with darshan you can do a praikrama and visit other temples in same premises. You can do mukh darshan without going in line. Lots of push while sending in the queue. Take care of small kids and elderly people.
Keep the temple clean and do not push / rush in queues.

Visited several times earlier. But this visit for Mataji Darshan was amazing. We reach at 7 PM,and Arti was going on as such have to wait around half an hour in que. But thereafter Darshan was available for long time with peace and fulfilling soul. mandir premises was clean. Better clean toilet are needed here as waiting may be extended. Mobiles phones are not allowed though security not that tight. But looking to public and large premises, mobile may be allowed tobe carried with restriction on operation in Central Temple-Garbh Griha. Shopkeepers are just creating nuisense to buy pooja items, and may be avoided. Prasad counter requires more men for receipting and Delivery. Expect more courtsey from security and other people. VIP category back door entry must be prohibited or permit everybody with a charged darshan ticket.

Akshardham temple is highly secured place. One has to deposit all electronic items including cameras. This is not as big as the one at Delhi. There is a camera person inside the temple premises who can take our picture and give it in a large size portrait. They charge Rs 100 for one photo. We also had lunch at canteen inside the premises, which was actually good and hygiene.

Great Rann of Kutch

Reviewed By sanaser - Ludhiana

The Great Rann Of Kutch is located in the Thar desert in the Kutch district of Western Gujarat, India. It's a salt marshy land made up of around 30,000 sq.km of land which includes The Great Rann of Kutch, The Little Rann of Kutch & Banni Grassland. The Rann of Kutch is famous for its white salty desert and it is reputed to be one of the largest salt Deserts in the World. Availed a package trip, so, travel agent provided a deluxe bus for our group of 23 persons. Visited the place on 9th February,2018 in the evening. Best time to visit Rann of Kutch is from December to February when "The Rann Utsab" is held. During the journey, we have found many tented accommodations in the desert and mud houses also for an authentic stay for travelers. As the festival "The Rann Utsab" going on in full fledged, there were variety of food options like chaats, Gujrati snacks, thalis, kulfi, ice-cream stalls. In Exhibition center, there were displaying Gujarati handicrafts handmade by Kutchhi people with a variety of options in clothes, bags & other items such as shoes and puppets. We enjoyed the spectacular views of sunset at that place. To visit this place, you must have valid ID proof which is checked by the army official at the entry point.

Modhera Sun Temple

Reviewed By KabraRamesh - Nashik, India

My long standing desire to visit the Sun Temple at Modhera, some 90 kms from Ahmedabad got fulfilled recently. The drive from Ahmedabad to Modhera is comfortable.
Surya was an important god of the Hindu Pantheon during the Vedic times. Built around 1026 by the Chalukyan King Bhima-I the Modhera Sun Temple predates the more famous Konark Sun temple by almost 125 years. It's amazing that two magnificent Sun temples were built thousands of miles apart one on the west coast and another on east coast!!
The Modhera Sun Temple has two mandaps with intricate carvings both inside on the columns, pillars & ceiling and also on the outside. There are many images of Surya dev. The other gods depicted are Agni, Varun, Kuber, Ganesh etc. There are two exquisitely carved pillars infront of the assembly hall. What is unique about this temple is the presence of a huge tank known as Surya kund with steps & small shrines all around it.
