Guasca is a Colombian town and municipality in the Guavio Province, part of the Cundinamarca Department located approximately 55 km from Bogotá passing through the town of La Calera, Cundinamarca or 65 km passing through Sopó. Guasca borders the municipalities Guatavita in the north, Junín in the east, in the south La Calera and Fómeque and in the west Sopó.

Although i am not a biologist i very much enjoyed reserva encenillo. The forest is very wild and our guide Carlos provided us all the information about the flora and fauna in this reserve. In addition the history of this reserve is very interesting. We took the sendero colibri and enjoyed a great view once we reached the mirador. The reserve is organized in a way that the economical interests of the farmers in and around the reserve do not endanger the forest in the reserve. In addition the reserve is a great foundation for ecotourism in the future. A great example that economical interests and environmental interests do not have to be contradicting. I highly recommend you to visit this place!

This is an isolated monument I love photography and this gives an impecable option of having a perfect photo, also noticed the tranquility of this area and the greenery of landscape even the smell is from the plants.
I really recommend this place perhaps the signage is not to accurate to get there buut never mind a great place to visit.

Es un lugar pequeño lleno de magia por la naturaleza, el agua, el paramo y el musgo; el silencio y la pureza del viento. Si tienes poco tiempo y necesitas desconectarte es un buen plan cerca a Bogota en Guasca;el recorrido dura 1 hora aproximadamente;lo ideal es reservar y que lo recojan en el hotel para llegar con facilidad ya que para un carro llegando al lugar el terreno puede generarle dificultad. Se toman lindas fotos.

Teniamosnla expectativa de ver los petroglifos.Fue muy frustante.NI SIQUIERA SE PUEDEN ENCONTRAR.Nadie sabe donde estan ubicados,casi nadie sabe de que se le habla y al final alguien nos da una instruccion de buscar por una vía muy estrecha y destapada .Donde nunca aparecen.No hay señalización de ningún tipo y en los mapa simplemente no aparece.

The water is that creepy baby pool kind of warm, has a very particular odor to it and will leave you covered in a beige tint. It is a hot spring, what do you expect? Overall, a really refreshing experience.
