Nice and friendly staff. There is a great variety of gifts to find. You could literally spend hours browsing all the nooks and crannies in this store. I especially liked the wooden bow ties and coin rings and have one of the carved golf ball business card holders.

Pelham Mill Park

Reviewed By Sburris65 - Simpsonville, United States

When SC opened back our parks, it was a perfect day outside..so I knew the parks were calling. I had never given Pelham Park try so off I went. The park has been built around the remains of the former Pelham Mill which was a former cotton mill. It sits on about 20 acres. After you park, you can go to the left and it doesn't take long before the adventure begins. There is a stone overlook. From here you can overlook the falls and get a view of the Enoree River and the remains of the mill. The sounds of the falls here are wonderful. There are stairs that lead down to the walking path. The path is well defined and easy to maneuver. You can walk out on the rocks or there are places for a picnic. From here you can follow the path and make your way on down the river. If you have a boat, there is a road that leads you down to the river where you can launch. From the parking lot, if you go to the road you can enjoy a peaceful walk in the bottom lands forest. Some of the path runs along the river. Again the path is well defined. The walk here is fantastic and good for getting back to nature. There is also on the property the old post office. It was built in 1870 and served as the mill office until 1930 when it was turned into a post office. Today renovations are being done on the building so it can one day be a community building. In fact there are a number of plans for this gorgeous park including a future walking bridge. There is no admission to the park. There are swings. There are picnic tables. There is plenty of free parking. The trail is doggie friendly. There is also a dog park. It is divided up for small puppers and big doggos. The park is listed on the national registry of historical places. It is also one of eleven historical Greenville County historical sites. This park is often overlooked but well well worth seeking out.
