Ninety Six National Historic Site

Excellent place! History is interesting, and the grounds are well-maintained. I was amazed that the fort looks so good after 200+ years. The visitor center has lots of good information, and the trail supplements it well. I definitely recommend watching the video-it's well done!

Emerald Farm

We've been here twice. The first visit (5 years ago) was nice. Nothing be or to brag about, but nice. Next (last year) we drove in and looked around. We weren't sure if they had closed down. It was very messy and not well maintained. Suggest you check on this place before making special plans.

The Museum and Railroad Historical Center

Reviewed By Edward R - Flowery Branch, Georgia

The Railroad Historical Center is located at 906 S. Main, not too far from the downtown museum. The real gems in this museum are the static train displays. Cosmetically the equipment has been restored, and unlike many collections the equipment has been protected from the elements by a long shed roof. What is amazing is that so much of the equipment is original, including hardware and lighting fixtures in the cars. Craig was our tour guide and he not only took us on a walk through of the train, but shared many stories of life in Greenwood when he was growing up. Allow 45-60 minutes for the tour. If you love trains, this is well worth a visit.

25 Drive In Theater

Reviewed By Buffy P - Easley

Took my mom and kids to the 25 drive in. Seems like a good deal really, for an adult $10 for 2 movies (kids 11 & under $5)! With that said the concessions is really EXPENSIVE! They do offer a food pass. This gives you the right to bring in a cooler and outside food. It costs $10 or $15 if they catch you with outside food and no pass. It does end up being a little expensive. It cost us $65 at the gate ($10 food pass included) plus all the food and drinks we brought with us.
We were all set up and ready for the movies, being very patient as other cars/trucks had their engines going and we could not hear the previews. There was a diesel right beside us. I had to go get management. The truck left but just moved to the next row. But as the movie went on other vehicles kept cranking up. It was hot outside but they came to an outdoor event!! I looked and there is no rule about running your vehicle. Very annoying and I'm not sure I'll go back!

Main & Maxwell is a unique gallery offering a selection of high quality art and handcrafted pieces. All of our pieces come from local South Carolina Artists and are offered at a variety of affordable price points. Special events and Community offerings are scheduled monthly.

Reviewed By Teresa R - Greenwood, South Carolina

Main & Maxwell is an art gallery that is housed in an old bank building. The owners have done a great job of creating a beautiful space while retaining the charm of the old building and its history.

There are many lovely items for sale by local artisans and the prices appear reasonable for the quality of work. Main & Maxwell also offers classes on a regular basis on all types of art such as basket weaving, jewelry, painting, etc. as well as artist receptions.

They are a wonderful addition to the charming uptown area and worth a look on a regular basis as the inventory and the display changes fairly often.
