This local, well stocked museum is interesting for about an hour if headed up to Arkansas. The duo cotton/Murphy museum has interesting displays concerning the cotton trade in the area along with a section of military heroes, featuring Audie Murphy, the most decorated hero of World War II. I applaud the local effort to carry forward this history.

Landon Winery's production and distribution center that also has a tasting room with nice meat and cheese boards, outdoor patio with an educational vineyard, working well and water tower for irrigation. There are several rooms available for private parties that can handle events up to several hundred guests. Enjoy your favorite wine by the glass or by the bottle on the patio or take home a bottle to enjoy at home. Two hour Barrel tasting every Saturday at 2pm.

The Chardonnay wind here was very good, but there was no food available other than cheese plates. The server was nice and the time spent relaxing. The building (inside and patio) have so much potential but on Saturday evening we visited, the place was empty except for a group filing in the back for a wedding.

We attended the Asleep at the Wheel (and others) concert that was part of the Bob Wills Fiddle festival. Drove from over three hours away and it was worth it. Not much parking but I can't say that was an inconvenience, more part of the small town charm. The new seats were great, the sound and lighting first-rate - Asleep at the Wheel delivered a powerful performance and the auditorium fit it perfectly. Proud to be in a Texas venue hearing a Texas institution!

This library has it all. Great section of books, music CDs, movie DVDs, small and large meeting rooms.
There is a helpful staff, and the exterior and interior are well designed. There of plenty of computers for internet access along with computers designed for children.
There is a special teen room which is spacious and well designed. The library also houses the Northeast Texas History and Genealogy Center, with great research information.

Central Christian Church in historic Downtown Greenville was built in 1899 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. It's stain glass covered façade has been a landmark in Downtown Greenville for over 100 years.

This beautiful sanctuary was constructed from 1997-1898. It is on the National Registry of Historic Places. The exterior of this building is majestic.
The Stain glass windows are magnificent all around the building. If you have the opportunity to go inside the sanctuary the stained glass windows are brilliant. This is well worth seeing! It is the oldest church structure in Greenville.

This Grand Old Greenville Park was refurbished in 2012. Two new fountains were installed in the duck pond, a new aluminum pier was installed, and walking trails were added.
The best playground equipment is at Graham Park. There is fishing, walking trails, Greenville's only fenced Dog Park, an 18 hole Disc (Frisbee) Golf course, a sand volleyball court, a half court basketball court and a small splash pad.
There are plenty of picnic tables at this beautiful park, and a huge covered pavilion for large events. There are also Men's and Women's restroom facilities.
The trees at Graham Park are huge and beautiful. Long ago (until approximately the '60s ) there used to be a miniature train which would give rides around the park, and there was once a small zoo and natatorium (pool) here. All those are long gone, but the new renovations make Graham Park better than ever!

Majors Stadium was originally Phillips Field football field where the State Champion Greenville Lion High School dominated their rivals in the 1930's. In 1933 Coach Henry Frnka led the undefeated Lions to a State Championship.
Later the stadium was Majors Field the home of Greenville's minor league baseball team, "The Majors". In 1949 the Greenville Majors defeated the Major League Baseball team the New York Yankees 4-3 in an exhibition game.
The Yankees were managed by Casey Stengel and Joe DiMaggio played center field. The Yankees went on to win the World Series that year.
All that is left is the admission gate, and a side building. There is also a historical marker. Thousands of fans went through those gates, and history reverberates there.

I absolutely loved Splash KIngdom. I see the other reviews and have to agree and disagree on some things. First, the park is for families. With that being said, things are smaller for the purpose of the kids. I have no problems letting my kids ride the slides. They are designed for them. That means the water levels are not as high as Hurricane Harbor. They can actually ride them. At other parks, they have to be at least 48 " to ride. The lines are so crowded at other parks, where you spend almost an hour waiting to ride. It took me a year to really decide to buy my season pass. Because I did have a Hurricane Harbor/Six Flags pass. But I truly like my Splash Kingdom pass. I do not have to drive an hour and a half away for my kids to have fun. The Splash Kingdom is a perfect fit for my family. Ps I also have Six Flags/Hurricane Harbor passes this year also but will use my Splash Kingdom more.

This cemetery has the beautiful Spence Memorial Peace Garden sculpture by Santa Fe Artist Kirk Tatum. The sculpture is a large wall with carved persons representing all of the peoples of the world. There is a lovely sitting area and four smaller sculptures of dove.
The cemetery is also very historically significant with many of the key figures and families of Greenville buried here. One of the notable graves is that of Edgar Ablowich a Greenville native. Ablowich won a gold medal in track at the 1932 Olympics held in Los Angeles.
The cemetery has a small covered area and good roads. It is adjacent to the Wright Park golf course.

The SportsPark has it all. Soccer fields, Baseball fields, sand volleyball arena, batting cages, basketball court, fishing pond, hiking/jogging/walking trails and "Aunt Char's Playground", a sprawling enclosed playground for children.
The park is beautiful and well maintained. There is plenty of parking. On 4th of July, there is a spectacular fireworks display which compares to any in the Dallas Metroplex.
