St Kilda Ferry is a ferry service running between St Kilda, Port Melbourne and Williamstown. It's amazing what you can see along the way, from the occasional Dolphin or Penguin to the large cruise liners that call Port Melbourne home during the cruise season. Jump aboard at Williamstown, Port Melbourne or St Kilda. You can disembark at any location and jump back on to resume your adventures at the next destination. Australian National Aviation Museum

The Museum is one of the oldest volunteer run Museums, with a collection of over 50 aircraft and engines and many relics. This is the most complete and important collection of Australian built aircraft, with some examples being the oldest surviving ones in the world

Always a great day at this museum, the volunteers are all very friendly and knowledgeable and the shop well stocked with aviation books and plastic kits at reasonable prices, great aircraft on display and you have free access to the cockpits and interiors of a lot of the aircraft as well as many other displays, I particularly liked the WW1 items.

At the Werribee Open Range, animals are seen in their natural state, roaming the savannah. African animals at the Zoo include giraffes, hippos and meerkats.. Wild Australian animals such as emus and kangaroos are also featured. Werribee Zoo is in the south-west of Melbourne. It is a quick trip on the freeway. By the way, everyone must pre-book tickets; tickets are not available at the gate.

Great place to walk the family around a lovely lake. Gets a bit windy at times but generally worth being out and about on a nice day. See ducks, geese and swans whilst walking the dog.

The 15 HA Australian Garden is an excellent display of Australia and its plant life from the arid desert to tropical areas and running streams and lakes.It is well designed and interesting with an excellent display of the diversity of plants found in Australia. For somewhere for a pleasant walk or to study in detail the diverse range of Australian plants you cannot beat the Royal Botanic Gardens Australian Garden at Cranbourne. An excellent example of a well-planned exhibition of native plants.
