Bay of Islands

A land and seascape sculpted by the elements over millennia. Arches, islands and rock stacks are dotted along a wild coastline of beach coves and spectacular lookouts. The wild Southern Ocean has carved a stunning collection of rock stacks and sheltered bays with clifftop walks, scenic lookouts and small beach coves near Peterborough along the Great Ocean Road. Perhaps overshadowed by the Port Campbell and the Twelve Apostles down the road, the Bay of Islands Coastal Park offers just equally spectacular experience without the crowds. Dogs are welcome on a lead at Sandy Cove near Murnanes Bay.

Spectacular scenery, really worth seeing. 40 minutes west of Port Campbell and the 12 apostles. Warrnambool is 35 minutes further west. Don't miss this site, way better than the Apostles and you don't have the crowds.

Mother nature in all her beauty with rain squalls thrown in ! Who can't enjoy that ? Another stop on the Great Ocean Road with fabulous views & wondrous shapes of erosion. Nice little walks onto the sandy beach front in better weather maybe ?

Numerous spots to enjoy along the Moyne River. The history of Battery Point or walking amongst the pleasure crafts on the opposite bank are highlights. At the northern end are the lovely botanical gardens or at the southern end is the amazing Griffiths Island.

Lake Corangamite

Reviewed By michaeltK768BB - Birregurra, Australia

This is one of the largest lakes around Victoria. When its full, you can get some great views and do some boating and fishing at strategically placed sites around it. You need a map though as it is huge and takes a few hours to drive all the way around it. There is a hill on the west side (forget the name) where you can drive up and get some good photos and views.

Great fun for all and kept our group busy for more than 2 hours adding to the landscape. Car park opposite side so be careful crossing the road. Rock pools are also fun to explore
