AMAZING EXPERIENCE! We did the FocusTec Labs room. We’re a family of four with a teenager and a ten-year-old, and all of us had a blast! It was fun, challenging, and the experience was SO immersive. They are also following COVID procedures so well without making you feel stifled . We felt very safe and knew everything was germ-free. The bonus is that it’s owned by the friendliest local couple, who truly make it so unique and enjoyable from start to finish. I truly cannot believe everything they thought of and all the challenging puzzles and amazing touches they came up with. Support small business and have a blast at Grapevine Escape!

9/11 Flight Crew Memorial

Stopped to see 9/11 memorial while attending convention at Gaylord Texan a short distance away. I'm not sure why it's on an intersection in Grapevine other than the DFW airport is nearby. Anyway, I don't like scuplture that is all symbol and no realism. This installation has a nice balance of both elements. We do not see dead pilots or hijackers brandishing knives, but the slightly larger than life flight attendants and the young girl, while reprensentative of all aboard the fatal flights, are still recognizably human. We know they couldn't completely stop the tragedy, as the pieces from the Pentagon and the world trade center make uncomfortably clear, but they did the best they could to the very end. This is symbolized by the female flight attendant holding her hand up in a stop signal and shielding the young girl behind her. Police and firefighter memorials are located around the ouside ring of the larger sculpture. Later in the week I had a long layover in New York and was able to visit the world trade center memorial which brought this all home again. It was not the first attack on American soil (Pancho Vila raided Columbus NM, the Germans tried to destroy the statue of liberty in WW I which is why the torch was replaced and you can no longer go up it) but it was deadliest
