Providence Metropark & the Isaac Ludwig Mill

Reviewed By JanB230 - Cleveland, United States

This canal ride take one on a lovely journey back into the past when one lived on the canal boat for six days as it traveled from Toledo area down to Cincinnati. One only gets a tiny taste of the journey but this includes the opportunity to experience one of the only still functioning locks in Ohio. After the ride one can meet Molly and Sally the two donkeys that from the towpath pull you along the canal. One passes the mill and hears the history of that interesting place. The thoughtfulness and kindness of the staff and volunteers that work at the boat and mill cannot be surpassed. The boat ride takes only about an hour but leave yourself time to explore the mill. Well worth the drive from Cleveland.

Wild Side Brewing

WIld Side is about 30 minutes away from Toledo, so we don't come often due to the drive. I really wish they were closer. The first time we came here was to see a local performer. This place makes live music a priority and has since day one. We were first here when this place was half the size it is now, barely had any food and no wine. Now they have it all. They take Covid SERIOUS. I like that. The acoustics still sound good. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The food was DELICIOUS. My margarita was tasty and not too strong. The beers on tap made my bf so happy.
