A gorgeous paradise 45 minutes from Grand Junction..The largest flat plateau in the world with over 200 lakes..The temperature is 25 to 30 degrees cooler in the summer than Grand Junction..Great hiking, horse back riding, fishing and camping.I have been going to this area for 50 years and still love it!

A spectacular red rock canyon.
We hiked the Bridgeport trail which was mostly dry even though snow blanketed some of the entrance road off Route 50. Quiet and peaceful, this hike was beautiful with steep canyon walls, a bubbling stream and almost a mystical feeling as we were walking where ancient people had once walked. We met no one but a flock of wild turkeys during our 6 hour trek. If you want to get away from it all for a winter hike, this is the place. After you cross the railroad tracks, the trail is still quite a ways. Look for a bridge across the river marked "no entry" and the bridge you want is just beyond it up river. There is a wooden fence and a BLM map and sign just before the bridge.

Hi. In walking around downtown for the first time just exploring the area we had to go in here. All kinds of sweets home made and otherwise. We settled on a couple waffle cones and a couple of elephant feet I thing. Those were huge candy’s made of Carmel pecans and chocolate. Terrific.

You and your group have 60 minutes to solve all of the puzzles using clues that you find in the room to escape.
Our whole crew had such an absolutely amazing time there! The customer service is outstanding, I enjoyed small talk with the owners, very nice and trustworthy people. I have tried many other escape rooms, and this one was by far my favorite one. A great way to get together with family or friends. I highly recommend going here.

This restored turn of the century village where a thriving apple packing business once existed is now a historical site with docents dressed in period clothes who describe life at that time.

With local art, cute shops, and delicious food options, don’t skip the heart of Grand Junction on your visit. I come to town for work and love staying downtown. Lots of reasonable hotels.
