It was very nice. Lots of cool scenery and pleasant hike. We had fun. We had a beautiful drive from Marion to Golconda area. We are from Tuscola Il and we just wanted a weekend getaway. Rim Rock was a nice change from the same old same old!

Great homemade chocolate treats, candy, and fudge.
Also a great place to stop in for a hand scooped ice cream cone after a hike at Dixon Springs State park right across the road, or a day swimming in the pool at Dixon Springs State Park.
They also carry chocolates for melting and some cake pans for your own baking needs.
Linda, the owner is always helpful with any questions.

On Monday, there were three RV's in the State Park and one of them was the host. Cost is great for the RV world. $6 for tents but no showers.
Somewhat busy for here over the weekend but on Sunday afternoon, everybody was gone.
Lots of first come/first get spots that can't be reserved on RESERVE AMERICA.
This was a hot week and there are plenty of shaded, paved spots for RVers. The pool was inviting.
The Chocolate Factory across the street sells ice.
There are no showers, bring you own.

We enjoy the atmosphere and the wines at Hogg Hollow. Go there whenever we are in the area...Good company....good wine. Just a great place to stop in, have a glass of wine and relax.

Great fun and atmosphere! Owners, Jarbo and Lesia, are awesome. My favorite is the Rib Eye Steak Sandwich--perfection! Award-winning restaurant in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest!
