Geumsansa Temple

I did the weekend templestay program. But the temple is open everyday for regular visitors.
The program was really well organised and foreigner-friendly. By that I mean there was a special assistant who was by our side the entire weekend translating korean to English to make sure we didn't miss out on a single activity or talk with monks.
Food, vegetarian of course, is honestly one of the best korean foods I've had.

Eunpa Lake Park

Reviewed By D M - Tucson

There is a large, well lighted maintained dirt/asphalt path around the lake with music on portions of it. The scenery is incredible especially in the fall and spring. On Saturday nights in the warmer seasons there is usually a few live bands at the two small amphitheaters they have set up. The bridge in the evening is lit up in many colors and there are spectacular views of the surrounding city towers. It is a excellent place to walk or slowly ride a bike. There are city bikes for rent at several spots. There is also a paddle boat rental, you can cruise around in a duck shaped paddle boat. At sunset the bugs, especially mosquitoes can be overwhelming certain times of the year (I got over 80 bites on both legs once!), use anti mosquito spray or wear long pants. The locals will be covered head to toe at times. Once it is completely dark there are less bugs.

Blossoms where very beautiful. The food was ok. But the park and activities I found interesting and fun. A walk through the park ground has many tombs and trails for visitors to hike on the terrain was not difficult and the trails well marked.

Hanji Museum

Reviewed By YusMY - Kuala Lumpur

This museum is located inside the Jeonju Paper Mills. A paper factory actually. It was located about 20-30 min by taxi. Since we departed from our guesthouse, we took taxi to the museum. Advisable for you to write down the full address and the phone number and showed it to the taxi driver. Don't assume they know where this place is, more often than not, they don't. Once you have arrived here, you need to register your name at the main gate. Once registered, proceed to the building not far from the main gate. You will be greeted by the friendly staff. They will show you the exhibition halls and you may proceed with your tour from there. You will end your tour by making hanji yourself and keep it as souvenir. It took me about 1 hour plus to complete the tour.

Jeonju World Cup Stadium

Reviewed By hanuelsurfer311 - Wabash, Indiana

World Cup Stadium is quite the experience whether you want to watch a game on the jumbo screen or to watch a live game of Cheonbuk National University's soccer team. Both are highly recommendable and adviseable. Whether its the smell of the dried squid, noodles, or shrimp chips~there's something to be said about watching a sporting event at the stadium vs. anywhere else in the city.

Jeonju National Museum

Reviewed By SKinSK - Korea

I live near the museum, so I have visited a few times. There are various exhibits focusing on local history and always some new temporary exhibit, so I always feel like I get something new. The info in English can be limited--very hot or miss. Often Koreans who are visiting can help, and my intermediate Korean get me by. The displays are usually pretty easy to "look and see". The grounds are lovely and the gift shop is a nice place to shop without inflated prices.
