Blue Marlin Dive Gili Meno

We are a 5* PADI dive centre on the East side of peaceful Gili Meno and the smallest of the Blue Marlin centre's here in the Gili's. All our crew and dive guides are from the area and have a huge amount of experience in the waters surrounding us, not to mention eyes like hawks for finding the amazing marine life here! Together with the international instructors the team is a special, friendly Gili Meno mix with one thing in common, a passion for diving! We offer courses from Discover scuba diving all the way to Divemaster and fun dives every day for all levels. Come and get wet with us!

The best thing here was, we always dived with instructors - which made me very calm and happy (despite the PADI OW I'm not a very good diver in my opinion). They take care of everything (regarding the equipment and the technicals), you just need to come and follow them. They really go out of their way for you to have a safe and enjoyable dive, especially Ayon - the most patient instructor ever - will be eternally grateful to him, since he saved my night dive experience, where I slightly panicked out. He handled it super professionally. Also Gili Meno seems to be a marvelous location for dives with clear water and lots of underwater scenery to be seen. We saw turtles, sharks and tons of super fun fish.

This beach is breathtaking, crystal clear blue waters. This island is highly recommended for couples/honeymooners. We came here as a day trip from Gili T. On the island, there is a no plastic policy therefore drinks will not be served with straws, etc. The water here is better than on Gili T.

Gili Meno Turtle Sanctuary

Reviewed By Raiyan G

The Turtle sanctuary was really cool, but was pretty small too! It was kind around the size of a convenience store!
Their baby turtles are all set up in various little tubs based on their sizes, while there is a small sandy area that is fenced off to let the eggs hatch, and there is also a donation box on the outside of the sanctuary. The sad thing is that the entire place looks pretty basic and they definitely do need more funding! If you all ever visit, do donate!

I came here with my wife and had a wonder experience. We did the singing bowls, which started at 6pm and lasted for about 1.5 hours. The zen feeling we experienced from the seven different chakra vibrations was a thrill. It can be compared to meditation and yoga, where you feel completely relaxed and all your stresses melt away. If you are looking to relax, super recommend a visit to Muayad.

Gili Trawangan

Reviewed By HPLIM - JOHOR BAHRU

After snorkeling around the two Islands, i.e. Gili Air and Gili Meno, we arrived at the off-shore of Gili Trawangan. We continued to snorkel off the coast of Gili Trawangan island as this place is famous for turtles. In fact there is a turtle sanctuary in this island. Yes, we did see some turtles and we swam closer and closer to the beach. Finally we reached the shore of Gili Trawangan Island. We walked to Oda restaurant at Gili Sentral to have a shower and also our lunch.
Then we rented a bicycle each which costs us Rp 50,000. Actually the price of bicycle rental here depends on how long you want to rent. There isn’t any price tag at all the agents. It’s up to you to negotiate. The price ranges from Rp 25,000 to Rp 50,000. As we didn’t know how long it would take us to round half the island, so we rented for more than 2 hours. Our tour guide Adi cycled with us too. We engaged him for a 9.00 am to 7.00 pm private tour.
You can also choose to walk around the island or take the horse-carts. There are plenty of horse-carts here. Cars and other vehicles are not allowed here at all to prevent pollution.
Yes, Gili Trawangan is a beautiful and lovely coral island fringed with white pristine Beaches and swaying palm trees. It is a paradise to many scuba divers. We cycled along the beach on the sandy road, at times need to push our bikes through deep sands. The whole road is lined with small attractive hotels catering to all budgets, shops, sea-sports agencies, restaurants, bars and night clubs. We stopped at Villa Ombak for some photographs. This place is best to catch the sunset. The hotel here puts up beach lounging chairs at the beach. You may also enjoy an open air dinner at the beach. We didn’t wait for the sunset as we were short of time. We needed to reach the jetty again at around 3.00 pm. So we continued and went through the ‘sasak’ or villages where the local people live in Gili Trawangan. After about 1 ½ hours cycling, we reached the jetty where our boat was waiting for us. According to Adi, over here it is party every night. When the sun goes down, the beach comes alive with live bands. And everyone is having a fun time at the beach. We missed this as we left the island at around 3.30 pm. This is the only regret I have for not putting a night here! A trip to Lombok is not complete without visiting Gili Trawangan Island.
Hope I will come back again next time to Lombok and I would definitely stay at this island!
For your information, you can go to Gili Trawangan island by private boat at Teluk Nara or take a public ferry at Bangsal.

Blue Ocean Boat Trips are owned by the same family as Fantastic Cottages where we stayed. The snorkelling trip was great, just my girlfriend and I out on an outrigger boat with two of the local guides. They are very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us locate the amazing turtles that we could swim with. The fishing trips were also good, although a little bit more expensive. You have to expect this though as the boat goes further afield and the engine runs for 3 hours as you're trawling the waters. I only caught one fish (such is fishing) but it was a large tiger fish that the locals said was a very good size and great to eat. They weren't wrong, the staff at Fantastic Cottages BBQ'd the fish for us that evening and it was superb! Highly recommended

We came here to book a boat to Nusa Lembogan and the lady who was from Yorkshire, UK reassured us that the boat was a direct boat taking 2-3 hours. HA. I mention that she was English to show that there clearly cannot have been a misunderstanding and so she plain faced lies to us. At 1pm, the departure time, we were taken on a small boat and told that our boat was starting in Lombok- fine. Here we were piled onto the boat and made to wait inside all warm for over an hour. The boat then left an hour late and after a while stopped as Padang Bai.... which was unexpected. It then finally got to Nusa L but as the journey had taken to long we had to switch to a smaller boat as the ride was so low... we then were forced to walk around 30 mins in muddy mangrove water to the road as the boat would not take us. It was ridiculous and we didn't arrive at NL until 7pm.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO BOOK YOUR TICKETS
