There is very limited shopping on the island. This is a fun place to go for cover-ups (LOTS of cover ups), t shirts, handmade art from the island and fun island decor.

We met a gentleman while we were strolling on the beach and he said that particular day was a little windy but often the water there is calm. Calm enough to snorkel to one or more of the "sister rocks".

Chat 'N' Chill Bar

Reviewed By sailordavid1 - McKinney, United States

You have to stop here if you are at George Town. It is a $15 return water taxi from the government dock. The Sunday pig roast is amazing for only $22 you get pork, peas and rice, Mac and Cheese and coleslaw. The food is terrific and the atmosphere is even better. Super friendly people and a great volleyball court. Make a day of it and you will not regret it.

Exuma Markets

It's always interesting to read other reviews for this place. Exuma is a small island so don't expect HUGE selections like at home. Yes, they have all the basics, usually veggies, fruit is hit or miss depending on the Tuesday supply boat. Vegan stuff? You need to bring from home and if you have other specialty dietary needs, you need to do the same. If you check the Exuma forum, I do post grocery prices of what we purchase during our stays.
