Watchung Reservation

Great trails for running. Can run perimeter from SEELEY’S Pond to Summit and back around and make it a 30 mile run. Or, do a simple “main” loop for an easy six miler. Or hike a couple miles. Or, sit next to the stream and listen to the babbling water.

This is a great place to take a drive through, stop and admire the view and drive on. It's also a great place to bring a picnic basket and have a tail-gate dinner!

Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve

We have been here many times and we are so lucky to have a place like this so close to home. Beautiful trails with floating bridges over the water . The only downside is that some of the trails can be water logged or very muddy after a lot of rain. There are also kayaks available for rent in the warm weather months from Ramsey Outdoor that is onsite.
