Lago di Garda

Lake Garda, unique for its enchanted villages, shopping and fun opportunities,is also the perfect setting for your activity and Water Sports holidays or week-ends. This is Lake Garda, the Essence of Italy!

Absolutely STUNNING lake. Rugged Mountains make it a picturesque place to be. The town of Sirmione is unbelievably charming. The weather was horrible when we were there but didn't affect my opinion on the place. I would summer here every year if possible. The only negative was that my phone was stolen quickly out of the FRONT pocket of my pants within a 10 second window. I was shocked because this doesn't seem like a town where you need to be on high alert but BEWARE. The police didn't seem to care either. But overall, I will be back to this beautiful place just with caution!

We chose Torri as my husband had learned to sail on Lake Garda and wanted to be based somewhere where he could have a lesson or two and then charter a yacht. Well.......when we arrived to enquire they just said no they could not help us either with lessons or yacht hire. They could not wait for us to leave. We just don't understand. It was a shame as we had allowed a few thousand euros for this part of the holiday.

We visited Villa Calicantus after Reading trip advisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. Daniele is very passionate about what he does. He was very friendly and happy to answer any questions. The actual vineyard is small so don't expect a huge production. We tasted 3 different wines and did purchase a bottle of the final one! Each wine was accompanied by a different type of local cuisine - the first mushrooms in olive oil being our favourite, then local salami followed by 3 local cheeses. A lovely walk through the vineyards finished the evening with a chance to see the sunset across Lake Garda if the weather is on your side. Also thank you Daniele for your recommendation of Al Crespo in Garda - a wonderful tasting seafood tasting platter.

This is a free museum that was over expectations. You get information about production of olive through video guide in different languages. The exhibition is really demanding showing original tools. It's a must see, even if you have 30 minutes!

Jungle Adventure Park

Reviewed By mrstraveller1 - York, United Kingdom

Jungle Adventure is situated in the hills above Lake Garda, not far from Peschiera. You can roll up without a booking but wait time will then depend on how busy they are. They offer a variety of zip wire/rope routes, there is even a bambino line. The others depend on age & how daring you feel. We were limited to the entry level adventure as we had an 8 year old with us, the next level requires a minimum age of 11 & the ultimate route a minimum age of 14 though I suspect height & experience will be taken into account. The operation is well run & instructors fluent enough in English to convey the requisite operational information. Nevertheless I did worry throughout that I may have missed something in translation & this did impact upon my enjoyment. My husband & son didnt have these concerns so it probably says more about my exacting personality then the instructors proficiency or the safety of the equipment. The zip line element of the green route is limited & tame but I thought the tightrope aspects were quite challenging. It takes around 30 to 50 minutes to complete. Allow extra time for the longer, more demanding lines. There is only a basic cafe on site but there are some good looking restaurants on the way, many with magnificent views.

Lungolago di Garda

Reviewed By Superleaguefan - East Yorkshire

The lakeside Promenade runs from Garda down to Bardolino, and is popular with walkers and cyclists. The section to the north of Garda leads to a shingly beach and then towards Punto di San Vigilio. There are plenty of seats to admire the view and watch the boats, and families of swans and ducks. You can find a peaceful shady spot or nearer the centre of Garda sit on the lakeside at one of the many good restaurants, bars or just stroll with an ice cream. Fridays are market day when stalls are set out in the morning, until about 1pm.

Il Castello Scaligero di Torri del Benaco

Reviewed By Familie O - Rotterdam, The Netherlands

The view of Torri del Benaco is determined by the scaliger castle. Particularly at night when the castle is illuminated it is already visible from lies distance when coming from Garda. Dwelling through the well preserved remains should be the first thing you do in Torri, after which the small town has a few more pleasant surprises. Particularly those appreciating art will have a lot to see. But the variety in restaurants also invites to a drink or a meal.
