320 Guest Ranch

The West wouldn’t be the West without horseback riding. Miles of trail lead out from the ranch into pristine Montana wilderness, where guides and experienced horses ensure a fabulous adventure for all skill levels. For a real taste of the Old West, you can enjoy a good old fashioned chuck wagon dinner down by the river or a horse drawn sleigh ride in the winter to our Mountain Man campsite.

We planned a family vacation to see Yellowstone last minute and found this property because we could get a cabin that would sleep 8 of us. It was awesome. The cabin fits up to 10 people and we had plenty of room. The property was beautiful tucked away in the Montana wilderness. Great hiking trails nearby, the ranch has horses you can ride (although we didnt) and fly fishing. My family loved the cabin stay and the fun they had around the property when we weren’t in Yellowstone. It also came with hot breakfast every morning. My kids already want to come back next year.

Lava Lake Trail

Reviewed By Chrisannandroger - Bismarck, United States

This hike was strenuous, but ohhhhhhhh sooooo beautiful. It took us 5 hours, which included our rest and relaxation time at Lava Lake. The sights and sounds of the river, accompanied us on the hike, and they added so much to the enjoyment of the trek. It was all so peaceful, as we hiked among the pines, up, up, up to Lava Lake. We were delighted by all the autumn colors on the floor of the pine forest. And we found ourselves looking down often, because the path is very rocky and covered with tree roots. The path up is challenging, because of the rocks and roots, and the climb, and the elevation. But once we reached the top and the forest opened up and the alpine lake appeared before us, it was all so very worth it. And so we rested and reveled in the stunning sight. And then we carefully descended back down the mountain, feeling exhilarated and grateful for what we had accomplished on that day.
